I really like the gameplay. It feels satisfying and I like the decisionmaking you have to do with making the level easier on that lap with a lot of platforms but harder on the next. I kind of wish the lava was more punishing and I think the music is a bit jarring. Everything else was great though!

Thanks for adding mouse sensitivity settings!
Because of the on-screen display of the main controls, it was a bit hard to manage.
It would be great to improve the character controller a bit as well.

LOOPSTREAM (gamejam)very impressed with this one. The idea is simple and very well done. My technique was to just jump over the lava on the first loop, you don't die 😎, and on the second one you can place lava blocks

LOOP BoundIt was good, but my ratings are generally based on the effort of original work done.
I would have rated it higher if you made all the sounds, even if they were hot garbage I would have rated it high just for the effort! 😂
Still an amazing game and I cant wait to see a completely original from scratch game for the next jam!
Oh I see, totally fair and understandable! I actually used to be a musician, and I would’ve loved to make a custom track just for the jam, but the time constraints were just too tight this time. That said, the music I used was edited by me to tweak a few parts and make it loop properly. I’ll definitely aim to go full original-from-scratch next time! :)

I like how it gets more cramped with every lap and you have to keep your later laps in mind when you do your earlier ones. Very fun game!

MailflightThe looped floor is, indeed, lava. Having the player provide the obstacles for themselves is a clever touch! I think a limit on the speed you can shoot would make this much more challenging, since spam clicking the ground in front of you as you move can pretty much nullify the lava.

Then again, the idea was that if you shoot too much, you’ll end up cluttering the path with blocks, which makes future laps more difficult 😄 Still, I’ll definitely keep it in mind for future versions.
