This was super spooky!! Very interesting game concept, would love to see a part 2 and see where the story takes us. Also interested in seeing what "group" you're put in and how that effects the game

- Creepy little set of horror vignettes inspired by a mixture of gore and analog horror. I liked the ever-evolving decay of the subject and the revelation that the player is not as secure as their position may seem!

Interesting game concept in limiting the options that the player would have to select from. The limit of options kind of straps a player in to figure out what's going on without any frame of reference.
I'm unsure what the win condition(s) were for the game along with the available options to select while playing the game, but perhaps that's part of the mystery of the game.
As stated by others and mentioned within the game, the sound was a little distracting, I wasn't sure whether it was part of the ambiance or a sound error, maybe turning it down by half should suffice for the sound. The constant static noise kind of discourages a second playthrough.
This is intriguing! I'd like to know more about the lore of this game!
Careful about the camera selection buttons sometimes they go in an infinite loop of high pitched
sound when hovered over.
All around this was really fun!
This, this is my type of game, I would unironically play through a finished version of this game with endings and more tests, anyway really cool game
This feels like it draws some inspiration from analogue horror, but it has a nice twist! I like how it made you progressively think more and more of what you consider to represent the person, starting off with obvious choices and then making you question them more!
I enjoyed the art style a lot and the story was very disturbing (in a good way). The horror atmosphere in this game was pretty nice, although like you mentioned in the credits some better sound design would really sell it! Sound design aside though, it was still really well done and the art was great. It would be nice to be able to make the game fullscreen, as the resolution was rather small on my monitor (2560x1440), but to be fair I do just have a larger monitor so that'd be more of a me issue than a game issue. Nice job!
Hey EmberAndTheVoices!
This was a really cool little experience :O The twist that we were the subject of the experiment was a nice little touch -- loved that we were all categorized into groups as well (I got group 3)
A couple notes after playing:
(This is gonna be nitpicky cause I honestly thought this was a nice succinct experience)
- The audio, like you mentioned at the end screen, is a bit underwhelming. There is nothing technically wrong with it honestly just a little diversity and maybe sounds from the guy (a bit more from him when he is still alive or when he is a spirit) would help a lot!
Honestly... I don't have much else to say in terms of things that could be done hahaha. Normally I have a bit more to say, but this was a really well done little experience. Maybe more endings? An expansion of the lore? Why is this guy in a cell? What happens to him? Is the player at fault for what happens to him?
What I liked:
- The art and style is absolutely fantastic! Really messed up stuff!
- The twist about the experiments being conducted on the player is really fun and I love that you integrated groups so people can share and see what others were in.
- The whole experience was succinct, had no bugs and made me want to learn more about wtf was going on. WHAT ARE WE DOING TO THIS POOR MAN??
EDIT: sorry if this comment showed up a couple times my browser was being wonky
At first, I thought the guy in the cell was some kind of experimental subject. Then I realized that I was the one being experimented on! It was a nice plot twist and it made me curious about what was happening to the guy.
Group 4!!! I loved this! Simple yet oddly terrifying, I'm curious to see the stats on this game. (Also, idk if phase 2 was meant to imply that they were in MY room, but it 100% felt like it)
I liked how it tricks you into thinking what you care most about someone, if it's the heart, brain, or even what's inside. It's simple but effective, great art and sounds ! :)
What a great and spooky submission. Absolutely tense and leaves you wondering.
I got group (3) lmao.
What did I just play. Its so gorey but I had to repeat to see in what group I would land. Nice animation and I think the sound just adds to the atmosphere but could user more variation.
