  • A strange and unsettling facility setting is a good environment for a horror game. I liked the unusual dialogue, the odd instructions and the monster jumping in to reinforce instructions on basic gameplay features!

Great game! The atmosphere is pretty scary, so I felt relieved anytime I saw another person in the building with me. The way things change every night is also really cool. Just maybe chill a bit with the jump scares, they kind of ruin the tension of the game a little bit.

I love your graphics style of minecraft psone etc, the final jump scare is very troll dude, I was chilling reading the last message and got scared wow, you can try, some letters were difficult to read and lacked style, but your concept is very good, i want see more!

thanks man, appreciate it

Spooky! I like a good maze of corridors, and the atmosphere in this one is especially heavy and oppressive. Enough hints at a larger plot to be intriguing. I did find the jumpscares to be a little too frequent, but I think they still work in context. You know that reading a document is going to get you punished, but you're still going to do it anyway, aren't you?

Thanks for including a Linux build, that's always nice to see.

Felt a bit like slenderman, which was such a throwback, and the way you created it made it feel so much fuller... if that makes any sense. Anyway, great style, and addicting gameplay. Very spooky. Great stuff!

Fun game love throwing away incriminating documents. Game play was great wandering around trying to find all the documents and throw them away in separate bins while everyone else is going insane simple but fun. The music, sound effects, and scene created an eerie aspect, but it kind of fell through when you saw what they were afraid of and it just kind of standing there until you got close enough. I would agree with the person before me that the ending did feel a bit lacking with a lot of build-up I was expecting something a bit more dramatic at the end like some kind of big jump scare.

Well done was a fun game to play, and was always entertained wondering what would happen the next day.

I may update the ending after the rating period, thanks a lot

Lol it got me good because I did not expect that jumpscare at all, that was the most random jumpscare ever xd

The game has a very nice build-up, it has a creepy (and ambigous) story, the environment is simple and the monster is original. It all creates the perfect horror setting. But I felt like the build up was for almost nothing, but for a game jam this is expected so I don't blame you lol

The music and the people around were... comforting and it lowered the fear factor. Also the fact that the "jumpscares" were very often drastically reduced the fear level, but I think this was intended. When you took away the music the game became 10x scarier, in any horror game hearing just your footsteps is enough to make you fear what could happen. When that happened I instantly wanted to see if there are still people around, and they were.

Like I said the ending lacked, because all the build up just goes away. I expected all the people to dissapear and the lights too power off or the people turn against you and attack you or some event that will really make the player feel on the edge. I never really felt on the edge mostly because there were people around, and the people were actually alive, I wasn't scared of them because they felt like actual people, like they talked to you, so that made me feel safe. And in a horror game you have to make the player feel safe and then just take that away. This is the best way to build up for the ending.

Anyway, It was just unsatisfying for the player to end the game like this, because we play horror game to get scared xd

For a game jam I think it turned out really good! I really liked that you kept your style and didn't just copy others, the game feels original! Good job and I hope to see more horror games from you :)

Yeah the safe thing makes a LOT of sense, I think I’m just desensitized because I haven’t played horror games in a while, only stuff with creepy stories and graphics which really inspired this.. style or whatever I did. Anyway thanks a lot on all the feedback, one or two additions to the ending would make a lot of sense so I’ll get them done soon. Sorry for the ending lmao I never did this before

DO NOT WALK ON ITEMS YOU NEED TO PICK UP. THEY MAY BUG OUT AND DISAPPEAR.
