It's very rough around the edges (so it's sharp?). You have a nice concept but it will need a lot of work to make it enjoyable.
Mouse sensitivy is very low by the way, but the aesthetics is pleasing, feels like a ps1 game were the texture move when you're around them.
good title screen too !
There is no way to express how much i love the aesthetics. Textures, geometry, hell even the opening - menu image gives a really oldschool vibe. Good job!
I really appreciate the Lovecraftian theme. The textures were very trippy. I ended up getting stuck on the geometry the first time around and had to restart the game because of it. I actually came up with the same mini-game for fixing the generator on one of the projects I was working on. :)
Hey, cool game. Would have loved a "skip" option after dying and listening to the (very nice) voice message. I did manage to fix the generator, but mistimed a little when talking to the dude again. Do I have to just perfectly time these things every time to progress the game? That's a little harsh!
Interesting work with the shaders, did you do the ones for rocks and stuff yourself? They were moving around when rotating the camera, very non-euclidean, or what he loves to say, old HP :D
I made some of the rocks and other assets (like the lighthouse)! For the more complex ones, I reused some that I had from other projects. This thing where the textures move when you move the camera is a feature of the PSX shader, I think it turned out pretty distinctive :)
Very good visual style, voice acting is great :)
It was not obvious why I died after generator.
Would be interesting how this game will evolve!
Cool little game. The voice acting is very good, and the music builds a nice atmosphere.
The voice acting is actually reaaaallly good. I enjoyed that aspect of it a lot.
The rest is a little jank, the monster just popped out of nowhere and floated around a little bit after doing the mini game on the generator. Maybe some buildup would have been good. Also the scale of the models was a bit all over the place with the trees being tiny and the door really big.
Another thing, I think the title screen is great, it nails that look of PS 1 survival horror stuff.
Amazing voice acting! Would love to see an expanded version of this.
What a wonderful project! The way the light is obscured in art really adds to the ominous atmosphere.
The art was neat. The sound was atmospheric. I assume you bought voice acting, still, the dialogue was cool.
Just a little thing :)
