I was placing down turrets but I didn't see me placing the turrets and the game had me confused. I also was getting stuck and couldn't see the space around me and I didn't understand the use of the radio. But the potential is there.
I was left pretty confused on how to do the task. The note mentioned a radio but I never quite figured out how it worked, and I couldn't find any supplies to defend the buildings.
The lesson I am taking from this and other comments is don't put off tutorialization until the last minute and find ways to communicate how the game works. I didn't put in things like button prompts or a clear tutorial into the game and the game isn't intuitive enough for people to figure out how it works without outside info. I plan to work on this some more in the future after I do some practice projects first. Once I do, I want to add more information to make the game less confusing. Thank you for playing the game and giving feedback!
Cool game! I really liked the defense system of this game. Being able to carry & redeploy already purchased turrets was a good addition. The art style of different enemy types looked cool. Will definitely play a full version if you make one. Great entry! ๐๐ป
I really like the concept of firs person tower defense with a horror twist, and this game has the building blocks ready. It was quite fun to set down the turrets and watch them go. But right now I think there are few things that are still missing. Some sort of indicator to see where the enemies are coming from would be nice to have, many attempts of mine ended before I got to do anything because I was just trying to find the enemies. If the enemies target a specific building at a time, that would be also good to indicate! Indicator for turret health/load/whatever is good to have. And stopping the mouse movement when in menus eases the navigation and movement. But of course, time limits and such probably were limiting factor here. Regardless, good work so far, hope you develop this further ^^ I would love to see where the horror aspect would lead in a tower defense.
Turrets didn't seem very effective and suddenly they stopped shooting. A bit confusing, but definitely some nice concepts in there. Good job!
A reoccurring theme I am hearing from the feedback and criticism I have been hearing is that the game is confusing and doesn't explain itself at all. There is a lot of simple UI inclusions and basic tutorialization I should do to make the game less confusing. I was so focused on getting the game to work I neglected to communicate how the game works effectively to the player. The fact that the note isn't scaled correctly for the screen doesn't help things. Thank you for playing and I am glad you gave it a shot!
Browser version isn't working properly. The windows version was very confusing, didn't know how to protect the building.
Not very scary :(
That is understandable since I didn't create a tutorial to explain how to buy and place turrets and barricades. The browser was working a few days ago but when I made the build last night it ended up being completely broken unfortunately. Thank you for playing regardless and Thank you for giving feedback!
