Cool game, it has everything it should and even something extra. Quite challenging

I think the sounds are pretty cool. Gameplay is good as well. I think instead of the witch customization, some gamification factors for the actual game would have been nice, like camera zoon-in zoom-outs, some screen shake or something.

Thanks so much for playing and for your feedback! I agree, I've thought about zoom in-out, just didn't have time to really think when/how/how much in order to implement it.

Eyyy, got the highscore. Pretty fun game. The customization is way over the top and unnecessary, but very nice haha. The gameplay is pretty good! I like that you can switch between different speeds. I did have some issues going through the hoops when going from left to right, but right to left seemed to work most of the time. Also, the speed of the lightning bolts sometimes was so fast that it felt pretty unfair to die to them. Enjoyed playing, thanks for making it!

Developer

Thanks for your kind comments and very glad you liked it! I agree that the green lightning speed is too fast. :)

fun game, maybe the camera could be zoomed out a bit so you can see more of your surrounding

Super cute game! I love the customization and the music really gives off the vibe of a witch flying over a bustling city at sunset. All the art in this game looks super clean and I love the particle effect that happens when you die. Remapping controls are a nice touch too. Maybe if you return to this, the max speed feels way too fast and you're sure to die, so maybe clamp that to a lower value and sometimes its hard to actually avoid the lightning and it feels like pure rng. I really love the concept! Also cute pun!

Developer

Thanks for playing it and for the rating :) Glad you enjoyed it. I agree about the speed, I regularly fall into the "developer's difficulty" trap. I didn't have time for people to playtest it, that would have been useful to tweak the default speed/steer sensitivity. I did include settings for lowering the accel/decel/steer sensitivity, did you have a chance to play with the "SLOW" setting?

Hehe thanks regarding the pun :D

I played with slow turning, medium accel and fast decel. Probably slow excel would've been perfect for me.

We need W-A-S-D controls, also for some reason msot keyboard tracking isn't there? i mean the idea is nice.

EDIT: apparently if you download it it works better and you can change some stuff, so i mean, i guess that saved it, great work!

Developer

Thanks for playing it :)  I tested the HTML5 build and it runs fine (you can remap etc.) but itch.io embed is a bit wonky (two times already it seemed like the keyboard wasn't responding). There's also the HTML5 build hosted on my server. I think I will just delete the embedded HTML5 on itch.io and leave the link for my server.

Anyway thanks for trying the Windows version! hope you can reach the leaderboard :)

ooh the embed, that makes sense, also me leaderboard? hell i'm lucky to avoid one bolt laser thing.
