Nice idea and wonderful graphics (the face expressions are cool). I had a bit of trouble getting the box to move, especially because the game in fullscreen seemed to ignore my mouse drag command. I did not try f11 to fullscreen.
hmmmm
lmk if you cant get it working
Really neat game! I love the stretch that he does to telegraph the direction he's going. The boxes don't fall fast enough I feel before the bottom starts disappearing.
was there a place for you to stand on either side and u just fell in a pit? Or was all the boxes under the stage? With them being randomly generated there is a chance you just got unlucky and only got small boxes my bad.
All the boxes were small and I ran out of places to stand. Not a huge problem, only happened once, but I feel like more boxes should be spawning faster.
thx I'll tweak it after the event
Nice. As it was said, it's nice for the mobile gaming.
known major bugs: PC only:
1you can drag mouse out of game window, allowing you to over launch and fly over the walls on the side.
2 When you release the click off the game window there is a delay.
I am not gonna worry about fixing them untill after the voting. I like the idea of this game being a game I made in three day. No bugs on mobile. Thank you to all the people who showed me about these bugs.
both bugs won't happen if you press f11 and fullscreen your web browser.
Overall I was able to figure it out after a while, the sound design was really cute, and I loved the main character. My high score was 1195. Sometimes its just better to stay still which felt weirdly pause-y for gameplay. GG
thx
Controls are a bit confused at start, but when you get it the gameplay goes easy. Nice work! Maybe you could add some more enemies types, like opened boxes or smooth boxes that knead when player jump on them.
May you rate my game too?
Love the aesthetic! Also really unique control system, although a bit hard to get used to at first. Great job!
thanks. I wanted to use physics and to stand out. I'm happy that the controls aren't so bad it's forever unplayable. I don't like fighting bad controls in games myself. It's seems most people find these controls weird. Idk what my brain is thinking but I feel comfortable with the controls myself and it is 100% what I intended it to control like.
Good game! but for some reason i made boxy flew out of the screen and never came back. maybe there’s no collision off camera.
This error only happens on PC cuz u can drag the mouse out of the window >O< I had to choose between this happening on pc, or a lower acceleration , that made the game overall feel more sluggish. But thanks, now that I am thinking about the problem again, I coulda just put a hit box at the top that only blocked boxy.
pressing f11 helps prevent it
Those facial expressions bro!! Great Job!
Thanks!
Makes me sad when boxy goes down. Nice game.
hehe, yeah a 3frame/second loop really adds more character than it deserves to.
Nice and cute game merploc !consider playing mine - https://itch.io/jam/scorejam13/rate/1045688
I love the facial expressions! very cute
Thank you! I thought an otherwise depressing and frustrating game needed some levity
Cool game. For some reason, the launch mechanic seems to be reversed. But other then that. Amazing game.
yeah, I should have named it box flicker. less people would be mixed up about the controls.
It feels better on mobile
I like the idea, it can be a little annoying when your curser goes off the screen. the idea feels very mobile friendly, simple, and fun.
Oh, And I got It working on mobile! check it out!
my best score is 880, it's not bad in browser but trying it on mobile felt a lot more intuitive.
Nice game, Merp!
thx man!
