Game is alright, I like how the characters cycle while playing the song which is a nice touch and the game looks great!

Some feedback I would give is making the fake notes more obvious to the player that they can’t be played. Since they have the same shape as regular notes, but without color, players can mistaken that note for an actual note which could be confusing to players just starting the game. Also, I would love more game mechanics other than the fake note because the game at the core is the same as a 3-key VSRG with mines, so maybe something that has to do with the characters switching could be a game mechanic (Of course, time is a factor during the jam)!

Additionally, when the second song came up, the charting/mapping of it felt wrong as the first one was better (Maybe this is a browser issue when I played on web?).

In any case, I think it has potential because it is pretty beginner friendly with 3 keys, and maybe you could even expand it to 4 keys or more later for songs that are more challenging for players!

I'm in love with the game artstyle, and it's also fun to play, what do we need more?

I love the colors and CRT camera effect and the fact the art model pulses on beat. This is very well made. Great job!

I love the music! I am very bad (just becouse my skill issue) but I enjoy so much playing this game, great job!

I really love the art style of the game.  Your take on the theme was also great, although I didn't notice that there were fake notes when playing lol.  Great job!

WOW! This game is so cool! In my first run, I hit every gray beat, but then I read the instructions hahaha. Good job making this, the music is gorgeous and the visuals are so nice as well!

Very high production value on this one! The art, the vfx, the music is all absolutely amazing! Like a lot of people I completely missed the grey notes and found the game very difficult. It did feel a bit off to have the gameplay pushed off to one side of the screen as though it wasn't meant to be the focus of my attention.  Great work!

Nice work!

  • I like the three-button control scheme. It was nice to be able to play with one hand on my laptop keyboard.
  • The art is so nice, so I found myself wishing that the lanes were more centered on the screen. I feel like all my attention was on the small left part of the screen and I couldn't look away to appreciate the art.
  • I liked most of the levels, except the 2nd. I didn't feel like there was as clear of a rhythmic element in that one.
  • +1ing the feedback on the grey notes... I didn't notice them at all until I came to write my review.

Neat little game. The art style works well for this and the use of fake notes is interesting in it's regard. One thing I will note is that the notes seem a bit sensitive and almost seem like they require exact precise timing otherwise it's a fail. Another thing is that I wasn't really aware of the fake notes until I played for a 2nd time, after I looked at the game's page.

Very cool game and beautiful art and visuals! At first the music seemed a little repetitive but it actually gave a pretty cool vibe to the game, also seeing it perfectly fit to the characters for each song so very good! Though I'd say the grey notes would maybe need some more feedback as someone already said

The art in this game was very good, but I didn't realize the grey notes were fake. Probably should have read the description, but an in game tutorial would have helped. Making the fake notes look like mines or something and explode like in DDR would have also worked. Also it would have been really cool if the different characters changed the music or the gameplay.

I like this game's style. I included it in my Rhythm Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to check it out!

The visuals of this game are amazing, the music is very good, and polishing is great!

The fake notes definitely add a lot to this game! This forces the player to pay more attention than they normally would.

Overall, really good game!

My final score was 136945. I'd love to see a leaderboard in the future!

(Accidentally commented twice, my bad lol)

Really fun and upbeat rhythm game, but I don't know why there are a ton of notes at once at certain points? (not sure if this is a bug or not). I liked the music and the sync :) Good job

character designs were fun, gameplay was smooth, music was great! one thing i'd note is that the x's that appear when you miss a note kind of block the arrows, might be better if they were off to the side
