It looked really sweet but I was confused how to play it. I didn't leave a rating because I didn't have time to read the tutorial when I played it, and didn't want to undervalue the game

Developer

I appreciate your honesty. But the tutorial is only a few sentences long...

Basically you're arranging colored blocks to create turrets, and then you use those turrets to destroy the enemy turrets/base. It's a little bit like Tetris, but you can also place blocks on top of eachother, replacing the color underneath.

I hope you'll give it another chance when you have time :)

Impressive entry with a really good gameplay - unusual. I really liked the main aesthetic which fits with the theme. I am not a big fan of this genre - RTS, but I have fun playing. For me, it's more a puzzle game than a RTS. Well done ++

Thank you so much! :D

Man, never did I ever think that a Tetris/tower defense game would blow my expectations, and yet here I am after having beaten every level in the game. The only minor issue I had with this game was with balancing - I tried using all the buildings at first, but eventually, it seemed like the most effective strategy was to simply spam direct fire turrets and lobbing turrets (this could just be because of how I played the game though). Other than that, I have nothing to say except that you nailed everything down from the concept to the execution. Well done!

Congrats on beating Level 3, that's no small feat! I was so proud I took a screenshot of my first Level 3 win haha

I'm glad you had fun, thanks for playing! :D

This is a really cool game! It combines elements of both puzzle and RTS games to make something really unique. I found the controls a bit cumbersome at first, but once I got the hang of how to make buildings and plan around my upcoming blocks, they felt a lot more manageable. The Sega Genesis-style music is wonderful, and it's especially nice how it changes depending on the phase and how much time is left. My only real complaint would be how easy it is to build up an advantage and keep it; in the games I played, I either got swiftly curbstomped by the AI, or built up my forces and steamrolled it. Still, that's a minor nitpick to an otherwise excellent entry!

I'm glad you had fun!

The game definitely snowballs in the favor of who gets the early advantage, but the level 3 AI should give you a run for your money even with an early lead :)

Really good concept, an rtstetris. Wish I had more time for building blocky cannons and stuff but overall it feels complete and very much from those years!

I do rather enjoy murder Tetris tower defense of doom. I think the game is really fun and I would love to see a multiplayer mode added if ever possible!

Developer(+1)

Multiplayer was absolutely something we wanted to include. Maybe we'll add it in a post jam update.

I'm glad you had fun! :)

The artwork and music for this game is great.  I didn't know what I was doing, but that's because I didn't read documentation.  All the factions are good, but dinos are my favourite faction based on faction portrait alone.  THEY LOOK SO HAPPY!

Once I understood what the game was about, it was very cool! Innovative! I really like the concept! Sadly I kept running into a bug where my target cursor would just take off on it's own and never leave my own territory. Couldn't do much damage to the enemy after that. (Was using a controller btw) I really like this entry! You should keep developing this!

Glad you liked it!  Yeah we just caught that bug after release.  It seems like moving the analogue stick will lock the controls in one direction.  I found sticking with the d-pad seems to work fine and hopefully not bumping the analogues.

Great!

Very Nice! While the gameplay was a bit confusing at first, I do really like a lot of the art and music.
