A very nice little game, which brings lots of gameplay with a clever use of mechanics and environment. I had some problems understanding where i was and the presence of one-ways in the environment which sometimes made me frustrated and stopped me from exploring. On the other hand, the mechanics are really simple but effective (which are the best kinds of mechanics) and I love the minimal, cute aesthetic.

Yeah, there are a few places that are somewhat frustrating if you only have one morph unlocked, but I didn't have enough time to iron out the level design. Same with storytelling. I had to cut a lot of the story stuff I has planned because of the deadline, but game jam things, I guess. 😅
Anyway, thank you for playing and for the feedback! I'm working on a post-jam update to fix a couple of things and maybe add some fancy new features, so this feedback is really valuable to me. 🙂
We were all once a little pink blub but we can all grow to various shapes by constantly learning new abilities. The pixel art and sound effects are super cute. Great job on the selections of color patterns and level design.
Man this doesn't even feel like a jam game, so much love into this little game! Wonderful work!
The concept for this game was incredible, along with the amazing graphic style, I really really enjoyed it!!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. 🙂
Funnily, the art style of the levels is a result of me heavily cutting corners. Like, do I have time to make pretty levels if the world is so big? Nope, so I'll just leave it super blocky and hope that it somehow makes your imagination go wild when you can't quite tell what you're seeing. Something like that. 😄
The moment I realized that world looped over edge to edge was just wow! The way you get all the creatures to move, showing how to control them without text, is just so smart. I doubt I found everything, but I kinda like that about cryptic games.
I either really struggled to jump 3 units with the blob, or occasionally broke the physics and jumped 3 to 4 units with the blob.
I mostly just want to make more textless games now.
The blob has slightly different physics depending on circumstances. Normally the blob doesn't jump too high either way, although there are some tricky secret moves that increase mobility a little bit. They aren't needed to complete or enjoy the game, though.
Yep, most of my games have heavily relied on text, so I wanted a change of pace this time around. It was a surprisingly pleasant experience actually. The environmental storytelling perhaps wasn't quite as good as I would have liked, but game jam things.
