Hey, Can you send me an email when you get a chance!

Fun game. I particularly liked the character switching!

Really good effort. Beautiful art, solid story, good length for a gamejam game.

And the fact that you're supposed to cut down trees at the start is obvious, I don't know how Xiyun missed it :p

Well done :)

Thanks DrMelon! I really appreciate the kind words ^__^

I'm definitely going to tinker with it some more: I have an appetite for working on the combat now and want to try some things. Primarily I want to make the switch button add an attack when mid combo, so swipe - swipe - fire, or fire - fire - stomp; that sort of thing. Then I have ideas for enemies that make you want to use those. Thematically, I have this vague notion of having my characters bond in the player's head by cooperating in combat, the way that the characters in Ico bonded by helping each other out.

This was really, really awesome! Absolutely gorgeous 16-bit art (I especially love the fog and the waving leaves) on what appears to be a 16-bit take on the pico8 (more fantasy consoles, please!). A great little story, with very solid gameplay reminiscent of classics like Golden Axe. A lot of care and attention to detail in this entry, especially where the 16-bit aesthetic is concerned. Even things like the hit-flashes were expertly managed, and I particularly liked the one-two combo that Adrijan has with his axe. The little character-switching thing was super neat, has a real oldschool-RPG feel to it.

In short, extremely well done - I'd love to see this become a full-on Golden Axe-like!

Lol Toonguska. Not quite yet, but maybe someday!

Thanks for playing my game again, Jupi :) always a pleasure ^__^

Very nice retro feel! I included it in my compilation video series of the Rainbow Jam '16, if you'd like to take a look :)

All hail the super Jamicom

Hey Sir_Obvious, you're absolutely right! Thanks for the reminder to fix that, I've patched in a fix!

Thank you for the kind words too ^__^

Awesome entry! :) The visuals are stunning. The story is well written and funny. The fightin system works fine and feels good! One thing i figured out - if you're walking by the first trees you can lock yourself out, because you can't get back. Easy to fix I guess :)
