Nice to see so many godot games! You did a very good job overall, I like the graphic style (plague doctor specially). And the quotes add a lot to the mood. Also, found if pretty funny that the doctors fall REALLY fast.

Very cool graphics and animations. The soundtrack is also awesome - it has depressing tones that matches the game perfectly.
I agree with other playtesters on hitboxes - they feel way off. It doesn't matter that mathematically they match the sprites - it is all about the feeling of touch. And I've got the feeling that I'm dying from touching the air instead of the enemy.
A little detail, but still - the gravity is also seems to be inconsistent. The masked dudes fall down very fast, but for some reason the gravity works differently on the hero.

This was a deliberate design choice, I decided to make the enemies falling a touch more "humorous" I suppose by giving them a ridiculous falling speed. It was done for emphasis, which clearly pays off but at the cost of realism.
Other than that thanks for your kind comments, we're looking into fixing those hit-boxes (and possibly making death feel less "abrupt")
The graphics are cool and it has some mood. I feel that the hitboxes are a bit punishing and personally I find it a bit repetitive after some minutes.
But this is really impressive for 12 hours! With more time it could have definitely been something
Cool game ! The animations are super sweet, the music sets a nice ambiance. Hitboxes sometimes feel a bit unfair, and a bit more sounds (death, jump, etc) would add a lot to the experience I think. Good job
Yeah I did the music actually, I was more in favor of doing SFX but the gambit of going for a ambient track instead seems to have payed off. We might add some basic sounds (footsteps, jumping and yes death screams).
As for the hitboxes, I think the size is fair, but certain angles can be too sharp. We could try skewing the hitbox so it's a bit more leaning to the right.
Version 1.2 out now!

Hey, I gave your project a shot and it's quite well made - especially impressive since you joined late, good job!
I felt like the game is lacking content but that's what happens when you have limited time. However, the AI could do with some more work as they are extremely easy to trick/ avoid right now, posing basically no challenge. The biggest issue for me is that they run and fall into the holes in front of you. Now, if they could jump over those holes, that would bring a new level of difficulty to the game. (Also, some times you spawn right in between of two enemies and instantly die :c )
The artstyle, sounds and mood of the game was great! The parallax effect is a bit off, but the game looks great nonetheless. I enjoyed the experience :)
I like it! The setting was nice and the mechanic simple and effective. After a little bit of training you can easily survive forever, but with a couple more enemies you really have a little nice game here! I also really appreciated the famous quotes! Good job! ;)
Very nice! I like the music and the mood. The controls and movement are very good for a platformer, sharp and tight, feels good moving around, animations fit well.
The game needs difficulty progression though, perhaps more plague doctors as you move forward?
The plague doctor's collider is also too generous in my opinion, would shrink it a notch.
I like the mood. You think you have achieved the setting you were looking for. Spooky, dark, mysterious.

I'm failing to get how it is connected to the theme of the jam, but the game itself is quite nice. The graphics were surely its best side, nice work!
