Nice job! I really enjoyed this one. I felt slightly overwhelmed until I realized you could stack cards which in hindsight is obvious. Art and Audio is really well done.  Again, really good job! :)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this game :D

Top-notch entry! I love that you took the stacklands template and made something uniquely yours. The hand-drawn art style fits well with the relaxing music. The forest-dwellers vs. destructive humans feels like a rarely-explored genre in strategy games! Usually, these games are all about destroying the land to develop society, it's nice to see a game where nature is your ally.

Developer

Thank you! I didn't expect it to become unique like this lol, it's a good direction. Thanks to our writer for coming up the premise of forest dwellers vs humans!

Cool game! I love the concept of this system, and I think you could do so many different kinds of subtle narrative building with it.

Developer

Thank you! Our story writer did a good job to come up with an interesting premise and narrative about this game too.

Cool idea! A little difficult to see the progress bars at times but overall a fun game with good potential.

Developer

Thank for trying the game! Yeah, there are a lot of visual bugs and need more visual indicators at the same time. Gotta fix it after the jam ends.

Very cool. My instinct was to protect the forest spirit (even though I was explicitly instructed to protect the tree). I didn't realize I should have been putting him into the river more often! Again, it's at least alluded to in the instructions for the game, so that's on me for sure. I had fun though, great art style and concept.

Thanks! Unfortunately, the tree spirit's lifetime is limited but at least the legaseed is forever, hah!

Neat! It's pretty cool that you were able to replicate the stacklands mechanics.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! It was fun trying to replicate it, though I still have a long way to learn and I'm excited about it!

I really enjoyed it once I figured it out, I was just really held up by the slow roll at the beginning after restarting a couple of times.

Developer

Thanks for trying the game! Yeah, other players reported a similar slow early progression. I intended the game to be a "discover things as you play more" kind of game but a lot of interactions couldn't make it into this game jam. Nevertheless, I'm glad you had fun once you figured things out!

too charming. Very easy ui, that increases to become more hectic as levels go on... It's fun

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm glad the UI isn't confusing. Good to know you had fun!

milord radagon sir it seems like melina has led a bunch of tarnished bandits to your kingdom and--what? the tree? it's--ah, well, you see, milord, the tree...nevermind that! our fruit and fish exports have been booming recently! the mines are full of workers churning out quality ore, and--w...what do you mean the back of my cloak is on fire...?
