Clever little puzzle game, interesting tie-in to the theme to create a sense of urgency! Nice creative thinking :)
Aesthetically it's a bit jumbled in styles, but I don't really mind. Did you make the Gas, Gas, Gas 8-bit remix?? If so, damn, impressive! If not, good fitting choice! But I don't see any credits for the creator if that's the case.
I think this is one of the more unique submissions, well done!
That's so cool, the theme you use is fun and thrilling, my only suggestion is to add some way to grab more than 1 people at the same time or like a more subs, but really enjoyed playing. Extra points for the Gas Gas Gas music hahaha
Impressive dialogue system! Tried to do it in a previous jam but couldn’t complete it all the way.
Wish the map was way smaller though. Maybe an arrow pointing to the submarine would be nice too.
I never thought I'd ever need to have a conversation about skibidi toilet to progress a game... I love it
I found the art to be charming(though not technically great it somehow fits the game and dialogues, like old-school), however i wasn't able to even get close to finishing the game within 15 minutes so i didn't finish it. This is mostly because there is no minimap, after picking up somebody, i have to find the submarine manually, and after quest sequences like the child one, it is not easy finding the submarine. Another thing you should think about updating is the donut pickup, you should be able to just pick the donuts up without interacting. Overall, if you had just gotten a little feedback devtime, I think this game would be pretty great and fun to beat. please update these after the end of the jam, i will rate it with the potential in mind since i can see the love you put in this game
this is very hard to rate…
this looks a lot simpler than it is with the whole dialog system and the (minimally) branching conversations. I think you’re pretty crazy to try to do this in such a short jam, definitely merit in the bravery.
the art is a bit… conflicting. both the people and the houses look good, but they don’t look like they come from the same game.
the music is nice, long enough to not get repetitive and annoying when it loops.
I struggle a bit with the theme because you kind of don’t interact with the overheat really, you just try to prevent it. It’s a bit stretchy, but fine.
Dialog/menu mashing is not really my favorite type of speedrun… but hey, some people run pokemon or final fantasy.
the movement is smooth.
I can see the promise of where you were going with the whole thing. Doing my best to rate it somewhere in between of current state vs what you were trying to do.
Very fun game, love the retro look of the art. One thing I would love to see is the timer pausing when a dialogue is happening, found myself skipping though some dialogues to try and better my time
Movement was really good. the dialog took a little long for a speedrun game but for any other game it was great. Feels pretty crazy taxi coded.
Fun game. one thing tho I wish the timer would stop when you are talking to people as I end up worrying about the time and skipping the dialogue and being confused. Graphics were fun tho and concept was great.

Other than that, this would be a cool time killer. Very funny and goofy game :D
this game is so funny, just straight up picking up people is just funny, i really like the dialogue system too
