I understand that this project is very small and unfinished, and given the time constraint of just three days, it can be challenging to create something impressive. When comparing it to other submissions in the jam, I have to admit that I would rate this one quite low...
That being said, there are aspects of your game that I do appreciate. The art style is lovely, and the idea itself is simple yet cool! However, there are a few areas where I feel it falls short. The ears has too many health which is frustrating and the lack of UI makes it difficult to gauge the health levels accurately. Additionally, this kept leading to several deaths because I had no idea how much health I had left. Another notable flaw is the lack of explanation within the game. It would have been helpful to receive some guidance on the main attack and its ability to deflect bullets. Furthermore, I encountered some bugs during my playthrough.
Overall, your game has a solid concept that fits the theme well, and the character art is appealing. However, it didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of gameplay and overall execution. I apologize if my feedback sounds discouraging. Keep in mind that there is always room for improvement, and I encourage you to keep working on your skills and refining your ideas! best of luck in your future projects!
Nice aesthetic, this game needs a tutorial to explain the controls, also an ui interface to know your life points, more levels and more enemy variety (the ears are a little weak, if you get on top of them they can't kill you, also you can kill them by pushing them outside of the room by making them clip on the floor).
Pretty small, rough project. Main areas I would try to improve:
I love the absurdity of the visuals! This submission was definitely one of the more eye-catching ones and when it comes to what I liked most about the game the almost creepy character designs are very fun and if you take this project further I think you should tap into this absurdity as much as possible and just try to make everything look as freaky as you can.
The game mechanics themselves are admittedly pretty rough and I honestly couldn't tell if the enemies had a lot of health or if my projectiles were hitting them at all because it would take me up to 30 seconds to kill some enemies and others would go down in about 5 seconds.
Definitely the most important area to improve is programming and I recommend getting more practice through jams such as this, it's rough in the early stages but the more you do it the better you get. Best of luck in your future development!
how do I attack? I can figure that out
The idea is cool but the game itself is not that good
the enemy bullets have knockback, i got stuck on the wall 2 times
there is no menu, or like pause so i can leave the game i had to alt f4 bc i got stuck (atleast not that obvious bc not in esc)
the enemies have much health
the projectiles itselfs are glitchy
there is no sound i think idk if its low the audio or idk
there is not really a objective
the sprites are not bad but are a little strange (personal opnion)
thats the majors problemns i think atleast to me id say
The idea itself is fun but the game is a bit buggy and the enemies have way too much HP
