Fancy graphics for sure, and music is good. I think the movement could be improved though

The game is interesting, but I feel like the visuals are overwhelming. The screen is very visually noisy and the textbox makes it hard for me to see the game.
I think graphics have taken too much priority here, the gameplay foundation is not very solid.
looks good but the gameplay isn't very innovative. but it was a great entry overall
A terrific jam entry. The graphics are phenomenal, the planet variety is neat, and the gameplay and progression are highly reminiscent of old-school Metroid. I do have a few small critiques, though. The physics are a bit off at times, especially when certain moving platforms push you off immediately or your bullets colliding with collectables, and I felt like the hopping enemies were overused. Still, I had fun playing through all the way to the end, and while not 100% perfect, it comes pretty close!
This is pretty cool. Sometimes the text box is in my way. At first I was thinking it should be on the left so I can see where I'm going, but sometimes I'm going left so there might be a better solution
The game's difficulty curve going from the tutorial planet to the first ones is more like a difficulty wall - the rate at which enemies come towards you, and the rate at which some enemies shoot at you, make it difficult to choose in which direction to be firing at, a difficult thing exacerbated by the fact that the dialogue box of the protagonist being so huge and prominent, especially when taking damage. Sadly I could not complete the game, but as far as theming goes, I think you got an interesting look out of the chosen theme.
