I really love this kind of puzzle solving! your design is fantastic. however there are some tiny glitches during operation, such as the texture sometimes freezing in mid jump, or the character getting stuck in some crevices of objects
I’ve been trying to solve the jump thing, but it’s not working. Glad you enjoyed the game though!
It's a pretty neat idea. Reminded me of the spirit of old platformers :)
Guys for the first level, focus on the word “no” and show to break it so that you can double dump
I think I might be dumber than the average orange cat... I cant figure out how to make the jump in level 1 T_T
Couln't beat the last level (I think it's the last, the one with true cat). But I found a bug there. If you die and then go to the menu and then start again the timers are frozen. Anyway great Idea. Catboy clinging on to his sanity is a plot I personally haven't seen before.
Thank you for your feedback! In the last level you should focus on trying to break something in the ui so that the word “cat” is changed into something else by dragging that broken ui. I have added an extra hint to decrease the difficulty and fixed the bug
I enjoyed the art. The game play was a little subpar. Side clipping on platforms was something I did not enjoy. I like most others was unable to make it past the first level. I tried slipping through from the boxes under the platform to Jumping Maniacally to attempt a double jump and even jumping off the cats back. Design wise my eyes were drawn to the scratching post, and I felt like maybe I was supposed to jump off it after jumping from the platform. If the majority of the people who play your game don't understand how to get through its on the dev not the players.
Other than all this the game is decent. I like the premise but the game definitely needs polish. I wish I could have seen more.
I’ve tried fixing the side clipping bug but not sure how. I’m using a box collider and tried making it smaller but it’s still there. As for the difficulty I’ll try adding more hints to drive the player in the right direction
I See you used Unity? Stuff like the clipping is stuff you learn over time. Sorry if I was a little harsh. I judge games based off of playablity rather than scope. You got pretty good art and it looks nice.
Here is a suggestion. You could perhaps put the word No on a block like Mario bricks. Something to signify that the no is breakable.
