How have you integrated the theme in your game?
The integration is a little loose, however the main idea I had was to provide no instruction outside of the delivery of packages. I do not give you any instructions outside of this. I also include a dump where you can dump packages which allows you to break a direct rule. I chose a more direct approach than rather a meta one. Your character is trapped within the confines of the map. Whether it's through paying a pilot to fly out or sneaking out through the locked gates you're itching to get out.

awww really cool!!! the music and visuals are well matched,  I love this style! you've done so much in such a short time, really amazing!  πŸ˜ΈπŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

I really want to know the ending but I quickly got lost 😿 the shaky images are very stylized, but also seem to easily tire the eyes

I like the visuals but i find the gameplay boring

Developer

I appreciate the honesty! Could you tell me which part felt boring? I'm curious if it was a personal preference or something fundamentally lacking in the loop. I definitely feel I didn't grab the player's attention as well as I hoped due to time constraints and other work. Believe it or not, there are actually multiple endings! No hard feelings at all, your feedback helps me improve.

Pretty relaxing driving game with charming art and music. I liked it overall

Thanks for playing!

Wow the map is really big. I think its both good and bad that you didn't give any hints on where the player should go so I had to explore more but it was getting a bit frustrating navigating through the map. I also soft locked by driving into some trees and not being able to reverse lol. I think making the cars hitbox a bit bigger could make navigation more forgiving. Really impressed you managed to make all assets and music yourself even with the delay.

Yeah, that was one of my worries. The game engine I used was Gdevelop. I already have experience making a bunch of different kinds of games. I also have art and music production experience. Frankly speaking I consider Jams to be a fun challenge to make a small game every now and then. I like to experiment in game production.

I kinda predicted the whole softlock thing. Next time I build a game in a style like this i'll add a button to unsoft lock yourself in the corner of the Ui.

Thanks for trying it out and actually leaving a comment!

Congrats that you managed to make such a big map for a jam. Big maps are always hard.
(Tiny bug I think. I could buy the coming soon and it cost me 1$)

Developer (1 edit)

Yeah, I noticed that after I had posted it. Its not really a game breaking bug, So I just left it in. No need to double submit.
