- The sound and background image are great. I would love to see a bit more details in the black spaces. I don't feel the game hit the theme very well, there is only one alchemy action to get the double jump. Additionally, I was only able to damage the boss by jumping from below and not by hitting the backside from the top, which wasn't very intuitive. Would also love a sound effect when jumping.

A 2D platformer with stealth mechanics and the ability to upgrade your character’s platforming mechanics.
Our main character is an alchemist in training venturing into the forest at night to collect resources for potions his professors would not allow him access. Avoid detection by the shadowy creatures of the forest...
Play with controller or keyboard.
Controller support for the UI doesn't work great with godot web export, I'm sorry not my fault :'(
Move - WASD
Focus - F on keyboard, X on xbox, Square on Playstation
Sneak - Shift, B on Xbox, Circle on Playstation
Jump - Space, A on Xbox, X on Playstation
Works best in Chrome browser.
If you have low fps enable this in Chrome: Settings -> System -> Use graphics acceleration when available

I really enjoyed this game, really polished and intuitive! It has so many stealth mechanics and all work really well within the small level. Only thing I'd point out is having ESC as the pause button, it kicks you out of full screen mode on itch (I had somebody point that out to myself also) The idea has potential as a release game for sure! Well done! ;)
Great game! I liked different kinds of mechanics and enemies. Visuals and sounds fit nicely together too. Good way to mix stealth and platforming as well. I appreciated that i can see line of sight for enemies and final boss was a nice addition too. Great job!
Thanks for playing!
Ooooh this one feels really nice to play, the mechanics and systems are so solid and fun.
Usually I start my reviews with something nice and then go into feedback and negatives and then turn back to something nice but honestly I don't really have any meaningful feedback to give you, this was just a wonderful little game and felt great from start to end.
Just as I was making mental notes in my head as I played the game I was thinking "Man I wish there was like a hiding mechanic ontop of the stealth, just the sightlines is kinda basic" then literally 2 seconds later I got to the bushes and was like "Oh wow this is literally exactly what I wanted".
The art was fantastic the pixel art though not overly detailed was really nice and communicated the shapes and designs really well. The animation was great across the board and the environment looked really good too.
The music and SFX were solid and really gave the impression of being a sneaky little dude in the middle of the night.
I will say I wish there was more to the game and the crafting. Getting double jump IMMEDIATELY felt awesome and intuitive.
Speaking of intuitive let's talk about the boss fight. A culmination of your learned skills through the level to beat the boss and then signaling the player to jump to the obvious weak spot with zero tutorial or prompts? 10/10 design. You literally made it so well that it didn't need to be explained to be understood and executed.
My biggest complaint is the game was so short! Give me more!
EDIT: Also I appreciate how forgiving being caught was, no grand deaths or restarts just a little checkpoint restart before that area super forgiving!
I really appreciate the kind feedback! I would have liked to add more to the crafting, but I felt that for the purposes of the game jam one was enough for a prototype build. And thank you for the boss fight feedback. It seems that's the tricky part for many people so we added a pulsing arrow over the weak spot if you don't do any damage after 15 seconds. Again, thank you for playing!
What a fun way to mix stealth into a platformer! And I loved how mechanics were introduced and taught through gameplay, really clean execution. Lovely artstyle and mood too, well done!
Thank you for playing!
Simple but great game! I loved the use of the theme of moving in the sadows, hiding from the enemies and the alchemy used like an element of a metroidvania! I would love to play a full game with this mechanics. The art and the music fit perfectly too.
I think that the line of sight of most enemies could be diferent... And I found a little confusing two enemies with the same sprite but with different line of sights (the one that doesn't move and the basic one). But overall is an amazing game !!
I agree about the two enemies with the same sprite but different line of sight. Hard to get everything polished in only two weeks. Thank you for playing!!!
Nice art. Tight platforming mechanics mixed with stealth, but not too difficult for a casual player like me. I liked the upgrade mechanic and was looking forward to more upgrades. Overall really well done.
More upgrades complicates the level design a lot, so for the prototype I decided one was enough to get the point across. But I agree with you! it something that should be expanded upon if there were more content. Thank you so much for playing!
Really liked it, it's cool to have a stealth game where the enemy sight range is so clearly indicated, it's very annoying when you can't tell.
Didn't expect to get a metroidvania like upgrade in a stealth game, nice surprise!
Overall main complaint is that it's a bit short, would love to see more of this :)
Thanks for playing! There's definitely room to expand on the game!
I love the character design of the monsters and the player. Good design to make the respawnpoints so close to your death points, I would not have finished it otherwise. All you need is more upgrades and some more polish, and you've got yourself a great game!
Lots of fun! you've done really well to make the game so polished in two weeks!
Game also worked fine with no fps issues :)
The visuals were awesome. I loved the parallax effect! However, you made the final boss too friend-shaped to be killed. Nice Job!
great little platformer.
The jumps felt nice, the sound and art blended for a magical and slightly creepy setting and the level was designed well! The boss fight took me a second to figure out how to beat but then was quite easy.
Nice one!
Short and sweet, loved it! The boss fight was a welcome surprise and wasn't too cumbersome. Nice work!
