Description
The genre is mostly electronic. The game idea I had was an rpg adventure type game where you search the lands and seas for your lost love. I used my launchkey and a piano soundfont to sketch out tracks and then went with a free synthesizer (HELM) to give it the vibes I wanted. Tracks were made using Reaper and Chuck (programming language).

Message from the artist:
I'm really proud of my result as a first timer to this so please give it a listen!

Theme:

Wish upon a star
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
Our protagonist reminisces about their old love and wonders what ever happened to them. After seeing a meteor shower, they make a wish to see their true love once more, and depart on their old boat. However disaster strikes soon after leaving them shipwrecked and lost.

So intriguing to hear what you made with code lines in Meteor Shower, it makes me curious ^^. Actually I wasn't sure to like it until I realized that it would be awesome in game to have that ambiance. Excellent creative point!

The same happened in Disastrous twist. I wasn't sure to like those piano licks, until it became all messy and dissonant, once again I felt totally immersed in a dangerous story moment! The fact that it starts sparsely with reminiscences of the previous track was a very good move.

Overall I think it is a very creative sountrack! Keep it up! :)

My Only Wish: The panning effect of the chirping high arpeggio feels magical like stars are falling around me. My favorite part of this track is the B section you wrote at 0:45 and how the harmony seems to rise hopefully. The rising energy into the C section keeps the momentum of the emotions going upward.

Searching for you in the Sea Side A: Your melody shares similarities with the song “Kiss from a Rose” by Seal which is an incredibly beautiful song. I really like your use of diegetic sounds to make the ocean wave sound, the heartbeat, and the heavy breathing noises.

Meteor Shower: These ambient twinkling sounds feel like stars, which is probably what you intended. This is such a calm ambience.

Disastrous Twist: I like that this starts as a combo of the last two tracks. The storm sounds increasing do a great job foreshadowing the danger that emerges when the melody starts getting distorted and dissonant. The disaster is palpable as this piece grows!

A Strange Place: The drums make this new place sound exotic and maybe tropical. The storm must have blown the main character off course. My favorite part of this track is the fun bassline.

Stars in the Forest at Night: I like how relaxed this track it with the bird, cricket, and frog noises. The build-up is subtle, but effective at allowing action to grow through the forest exploration.

Searching for you in the Sea Side B: This is a nice return of this theme. I like that it builds up differently indicating that it possibly means something different to the main character this time.

Finale: I like that you conclude with an epic dance-like beat and then return to the main theme. This is a great conclusion to your story and makes it feel like you are successful in your search for your lost love. Overall this was a fun soundtrack to listen to. Great work and thank you for sharing!

You've created a really cool atmosphere with the use of sound effects and sound choices. Meteor Shower was my favorite, it feels so chaotic and random but in a controlled and relaxing way. Good job!

The one you created programmatically is really cool!  That's something that interests me but that I've never really dove into.  Very nice collection of soft synth choices too.  good work!

You managed to create a really nice atmosphere throughout the whole album! Really nice storytelling and melodies on "Searching for you in the Sea". Good job especially considering this is your first time doing this! Continue making music!

Love the creativity in programming one of the tracks! These tracks definitely all have a wish vibe to them. Love the use of sfx in Disastrous twist. Love how theres that one sound/idea that ties some of the tracks together. Great work!

I really liked the soundtrack of "Disastrous twist", I like the music with a gradually increasing disturbing tone! Otherwise, such music is perfect for the background of the game.

Nice work :) I definitely want "My Only Wish" to have some lyrics!

This feels really enchanting, I got curious of what ChucK is, because Ive never seen it before, and it worked really well on your track meteor shower. Cool stuff!

This was really nice! I loved the textures you used throughout! Also, the transition at 0:32 in Disastrous Twist was lovely, really well written to create some tension and fear!
