Description
Made in FL Studio 12 using 8-bit plugins and several DS / SNES soundfonts. Each track was chosen to emulate the variety of tracks you'd hear in a demo of a game.
Being a sequel to WiSHMASTER, Juppi wakes up to witness a new threat. A cosmic warrior "Lunex" has attacked
his home planet's moons in an attempt to become the ultimate lifeform via the WiSHMASTER, hiding underneath the surface of the 7th moon.
With the warrior always being one step ahead, Juppi must gather
the power of 6 Sacred Stars in order to gain enough power to
put a stop to them.
Message from the artist:
If you like dreamy retro space, then welcome aboard!
If you've listened to the 1st WiSHMASTER, welcome back!
I hope all of you enjoy it!
Theme:
How does it fit the theme?
The more twinkly, high-pitched instruments represent the stars in the sky. The overall theme of the game in mind is WiSHING upon stars that grant power, and visiting a planets several moons in order to do so. The sine waves give off the feeling of deep space and the moon's beauty.

Wow this brings me back
Fun idea to make a sequel! :D
There's great emotion in these retro tracks, you managed to capture my attention straight away with the melodies and how these songs were put together. I think these tracks are a testament to not overcomplicating things, you use just enough melodic elements in your tracks, and you use them well through-out the entire piece! An approach I want to adopt myself. :)
Moomen sounds really nice when it kicks off at 00:26, so punchy, and that bass! And then the sax-like melody, mh-mm!
Really nice boss vibes in "Lunex Strikes!", I like it jumps between "oh dayum!" and heroic, feeling like sometimes we have the upper hand, but overall Lunex is doing a fine job of beating us up in return.
"WiSHMASTER's Dwelling" is a really cool track (darned be me and my understanding of music lanague, I can't express myself in more detail), being a demo, the fight is unresolved, the track itself though, is full of resolve to continue.
Sincerely, awesome stuff! Kept me engaged through-out the whole thing.
Wow, these are so cool! My personal favorite is Lunex Strikes! The Moon Warrior's Mischief, love it.
I immediately get nostalgia from your first Wishmaster album when I started listening! Moonbound has so many colorful and unexpected chords in it that it does a great job portraying different emotions that would be perfect for a cinematic scene. In the Star Soul Night theme, I really like the delay on the vibraphone instrument. The strings and pad instruments also provide such a nice and spacey ambience that perfectly backdrop the chiptune melody/ostinato. I love that the How to Play theme directly alludes to Wishmaster 1 - this is very iconic and great writing in between series. In Moonmen Society Life, the image evoked for me is from Pokemon when one of Team Rocket spots you and they are just talking, but the battle hasn’t started yet. This is a great upbeat track - I only wish you made the saxophone melody more prominent. My favorite part is the quick grace notes introduced first at 1:12. Lunex Strikes! has a great melody with Kirby mixed with F-zero vibes. The Make a Wish stinger has such a satisfying chord progression and is beautifully crafted. Wishmaster’s Dwelling sounds like something taken straight out of Kingdom Hearts and has so much emotion packed into a simple loop. Overall, this is fantastic work, as usual. Thank you for sharing!
Awesome job! This really sounds like it came right out of an authentic SNES or DS game. Moonmen Society Life, especially, reminds me of the town themes from Drawn to Life and its sequel.
This has such a cool retro vibe! Loved the groove from Moonmen Society Life, such a funky track!
From the authentic Start up Logo to the hypnotic Whishmaster's dwelling you've captured the essence of old school soundtracks games.
My favorite must be moonbound for the mix with the dreamy chords and spacey synths, plus the vibe the 8-bit sounds adds, it's powerful in terms of nostalgia and you mixed those elements veeery well!
ahh this was so amazing!! so engaging throughout the entire thing. the logo start up gave me such a nostalgic feeling, and “Lunex Strikes!” and “WiSHMASTER’s Dwelling” were definitely my favorite tracks. great job!!
I love the instrumentation in this. Very nostalgic old school vives. My favorite is Lunex Strikes, what a rave! Could definitely imagine this in a good old beat em up. This is quality work!
Oooh I love the kind of distorted guitar in Moonbound, you definitely drew me in with the classic RPG-like sound, for some reason the fade-out in Moonbound gave me such happy feels, like I got the “it’s time to grab my controller and get this game started!” euphoria 😂 I guess Moonbound was my favorite (that and the endscreen one, it made me think of Deltarune ^^).
I love the whole atmosphere you’ve got in each of these tracks, really makes them all feel connected, and I love how you use motifs too. I would totally play this game! You’re getting a lot of 5/5s from me.
(By the way, I wasn’t around for the Wishmaster 1 OST but I think it’s cool that you have a continuity in these jams!)
really enjoyed listening to this one! :) Favorite is probably Lunex Strikes!
Great job across the board! This is a wonderful entry into the jam, I particularly liked the "Logo Start Up", "Make a WiSH!" and "WiSHMASTER's Dwelling." The logo start up is definitely my favorite, great job!
I love the SNES-style sound!
DS stuff !! Coooool :) And good stuff too !
YOOOOOO WISHMASTER 2
