i had a ton of fun listening! i feel like i learned a lot just absorbing everyone’s submissions, and this jam has given me lots of study material to learn from everyone. specifically, i feel like many people had very creative harmony, orchestration, and sound design skills that i wanna pick up on.

i did well for being new to jams like this, but i was lucky to be composing alongside someone to keep me accountable and motivated!

glad you liked the bVI-bVII-i :) always wanted to try the “triumphant, emotional moment in the middle of a dark battle theme” sort of energy and i’m glad it came through for you!

i’ve been listening to Ori game soundtracks for inspiration so i really appreciate this comparison, thank you!!

i love the sound of these melodies and harmonies on PICO-8, super expressive and somber - i wish this song was expanded out into several tracks with their own places in a video game, but the ambience and feeling from this single track is great nonetheless!!

i love the synth sounds and the way they twinkle like falling stars! i hoped there would be a sort of development of either the soundscape or dynamics in the middle, but overall the feel is really spot on and very pleasant :)

great compositions! my favorites were “Our Time On The (Nighttime) Skyway” for its simplicity and charm, and “The Hill That Touches The Skyway” as it really swells nicely and has a nice storytelling arc

ahh this was so amazing!! so engaging throughout the entire thing. the logo start up gave me such a nostalgic feeling, and “Lunex Strikes!” and “WiSHMASTER’s Dwelling” were definitely my favorite tracks. great job!!

your soundtrack has such a strong storytelling element and is so captivating all the way through - “Blake & Silvy” and “Sloth of the lost Souls” have such beautiful and unique instrumentation, while “I see it in the distance” is so dynamic and climactic!!

i feel like i can learn a lot from your writing as i’ve always struggled with orchestral writing, so thank you for submitting and great job!

this soundtrack is incredible! the Roland sounds give it such a timeless feel, and i love your creative use of harmony and rhythm :) and the melodies definitely feel like an action rpg

i love the post-rock vibe of this track! i would’ve never thought of making something like this with the theme, but with the story you present, i think this track fits perfectly - great job!!

absolutely gorgeous, i would love your soundtrack both in and out of the game you described!!

“and the moon above” was my favorite for the high droning synths and noises in the first 90 seconds, so beautiful and intimate

great collection of tracks!! i think they really set a strong identity for a game through your composition.

some of the tracks felt repetitive after a few minutes in, and i think a larger change in dynamics or orchestration would help alleviate that, but “Blessing of faith (Fairy)” was definitely my favorite in how it finished off the story with a climactic ending - great job overall!

amazing job!! “Una Última Vez” has such a beautiful story in its harmony, and you played both tracks beautifully

thank you!!! the atmosphere of Wishful Dreaming was really fun to make and i’m glad you enjoyed it ^^

thank you!!! that was also one of my favorite tracks for how spacey/dreamy it felt, honored to be compared to Super Mario Galaxy 2 🌠

thanks so much!! 💫

thank you so much!! we had a fun time building off of each other’s ideas and forming a story with our music, and i’m glad you were able to take that away from our soundtrack ^^

thank you so much! we did our best to have a melodic consistency across our tracks to give the soundtrack some identity and i’m glad you could point it out :)

thank you!! we did our best to blend the two together in a complementary way ^^

thank you so much for listening!! really appreciate the feedback on each track and i’m glad you enjoyed our soundtrack :)

what a fantastic soundtrack!! ‘The Will of the Wind’ and ‘Starfall’ were my favorites. i think ‘Starfall’ fits the artwork for the jam’s theme perfectly :) the synths and harmonies go so well together
