Description
These are NES/FC Chiptune tracks composed in Dn-FamiTracker. The track titles should explain the context well.
I guess the game would be pretty close to Kirby's Adventure but with more emphasis on sailing across islands in search of treasure.

Message from the artist:
It was pretty fun dissecting & recreating the style of Kirby music and I hope you enjoy listening to it, too!

Theme:

Wish upon a star
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
Kirby is often associated with stars, hence the style chosen for the music. The name & track titles relate to sailing - the Southern Cross is a constellation used for navigating oceans.

This was great!  I love how high energy the middle two tracks are!

Awesome! I love chiptune tracker music, and you clearly have a good handle on the NES soundchip. Great job at imitating the Kirby aesthetic, particularly on Land Ahoy! Duelling Over Treasure made me think of one of my favorite chiptune composers, Alberto José González (if you have heard his music, that's high praise indeed!), I love the way you quickly cicle though short notes to create a richer wall of sound, taking those five channels to the max! Great entry.

Raise the Mast: Excellent work staying true to the classic 4 channel 8-bit sound. This has a fun and memorable melody that is great for a title track to your game. I especially like the twinkling flare at the end of the phrases in the B section.

Land Ahoy: The quick offbeat chords and 16th note runs are very reminiscent of Kirby music. Since that’s what you were going for, you did an excellent job in imitation! My favorite part of this track is the B section with the stepwise bass movement.

Dueling Over Treasure: This sounds like it’s straight out of a Kirby game! The short and chaotic loop lends itself well to a battle theme.

Sailing Home: This track has a swaying quality that makes it fitting for sailing, but also feels content making it a great ending theme. I can picture this accompanying a short cinematic as the credits are playing over a monochromatic gameboy scene. Overall way to stay true to the style and thank you for sharing!

Real old-school! Very high-energy and melodic.

Wonderful job! Love your choice of retro sounding synths. I've always loved Kirby games and you definitely pulled off the style, the production quality is pretty good as well, the levels of everything, volume-wise, is pretty balanced.

What a cornucopia of chiptune sounds! Kirby was the first title that came to mind, even before reading your description. Great job evoking that particular feel!

Not too familiar with kirby perhaps (heard some of the more known ones), so sorry for being uncultured, but I still recognize what a bop this is! I enjoy how speedy and melodic these are, never gets boring, that's for sure. This has to be the most intense sailing game made to date. :D

These a very well put together, again very speedy, but never jumbled, very clear and easy to make out the different elements, they complement each other well.

Great chiptune work! And a really good job capturing the true kirby essence! Boss fight was just perfect and I felt like a kid again  trying to beat the cushy cloud boss :D

Another entry using a tracker, love it! This absolutely embodies Kirby, 100%. The pace and percussion are on point. The melody and lead voices feel unique and overall, this is a bop. Thank you for sharing!

Great work! This is an authentic Kirby tribute for sure.

The boss fight one is my favorite, I really love the Kirby vibes and I think that song does it best!
