Description
These four tracks are all electronic, taking elements from future bass, dance music, and even a little hardstyle. General inspiration were shmup games music and Kirby!
This game would be a shmup/RPG game, a fast paced one where you go through levels, shoot em ups and bosses, all with the Spaceship and its crew being a team.
"Speeding Spaceship of Wishes and Dreams" would be the space travel theme, playing during level without enemies but just obstacles that you must avoid to arrive at your destination.
"Shooting Stars and Other Weapons" would be the normal battle theme, where you go through a general shoot em up against a large group of enemies.
"Space Sailor's Dream" would be the calm preparation before battle theme, a theme that plays before the levels themselves, especially tougher levels such as bosses.
"Wish To Be a Good Person" would be the boss battle music, a tougher fight with a bit more intensity in both gameplay and story where you must defeat a boss.
I used FL Studio to make all these tracks.
Message from the artist:
Thank you for listening to my music, I hope you enjoy!
Theme:
How does it fit the theme?
I believe these tracks fit the theme through invoking space imagery with effects such as phasers and "starry " synths at times. Happy melodies help bring the hope of wishes while harder synths help invoke the more sci-fi elements of space. The story told revolves around a spaceship that grants wishes, creating both the imagery of the ship and wishes in general.

Perfectly capturing the feel of space with that fourth track, especially in the beginning bit, then we pick up the intensity as the fight gets tougher, adding in that hard synth near the end. Very cohesive tracks, that fit the shoot 'em up genre you were aiming for. I like how different in tone "Space Sailor's Dream" feels at times, builds tension that something's mean coming up, and it will most definitely be a rough one!
I really like the energy in these tracks, it's a fun listen, and yes, the percussion do be slapping! ;)
Speeding Spaceship of Wishes and Dreams: The sporadic melody brings a happy chaos to your levels and adds a flare to your music that makes it feel like a Kirby game. My favorite part of this track was your B section where the melody seems to match the harmony a little more. I really like the sweep and crescendo at the beginning leading into the bass and heavier rhythm section, doing this makes the intro really exciting.
Shooting Stars and Other Weapons: This track continues the frantic nature of the music you’ve created so far and would be a really fun track to fight to. My favorite part of this track is the space-like syncopated synth chords and the reverberated twinkly synths at the very end before the loop.
Space Sailor’s Dream: These instruments are the most space-like yet! There is a darkness to this theme that keeps the intensity of your soundtrack even though the rhythm and tempo are much calmer.
Wish to Be a Good Person: I like the return of the first theme in this fast-paced and high-intensity track. This level of energy is very suitable for a boss battle. These are all really fun songs and I think your high-energy approach works really well for the game you describe. Nice work and thanks for sharing!
Great job! This was a really cool submission! The synths you used were great, and the percussion was really well done!
I really like the chord structure in Shooting Stars and Other Weapons! Your style is really cool, it's very 8-bit-esque with higher quality sounding synths/drums. Very nice!
Great job! I remember your nice song 'FlowerPower' from the Town Music Jam #2, keep up the good work :)
'Speeding Spaceship' is delightfully goofy, perfect for a casual travel theme without enemies!
'Shooting Stars' feels like an enemy-filled base alright! Starry, bass-y, yet still a bit goofy, nice!
'Space Sailor's Dream' indeed has something of a boss-introduction, the low synth working really well!
'Wish to be' first doesn't feel like a boss more than 'Shooting Stars' does. But the rapid notes and beats do make it feel like a boss, and as it continues (especially at 1:18) it starts to feel more and more like a boss!
Overall, all your songs feel 'starry', and all songs fit the themes they intend to well. Well done!
(And plus-point for making the songs loop!)
Nice work! I like the synths you used and the energy in the tracks. I really like the track, "wish to be a good person"
Thank you, that specific track was a favorite of mine too!
Funny joyful and exciting all along. It makes a great spacey odyssey for a fast shoot them up! Loved the boat spaceship idea and the artwork is really cool and shares the same vibe your music does!
That's great, shoot em up is exactly what I was going for! :D
I love how happy it is, really cool stuff!
Thank you very much!
A very good submission! Loving the synthy dreamy sounds and catchy rythms, and I think each track fits its purpose well.
Thank you, I haven't messed with synths too often lately, so glad I didn't lose any ability in them!
This is both dreamy and yet joyful and motivating. Very unique submission, and great synth work. Has some arcade feel, too!
Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it!
Love the sound of this one! Very spacey and fun!
Thanks, I haven't gotten a big chance to do fun songs in a bit, so I jumped at the chance to make fun songs for this jam!
Love it ! It fits the theme perfectly !
Thank you so much! It mostly came together after the first song of the group!
