Description
Inspired by the music of Destiny, and Final Fantasy. The soundtrack also takes inspiration in horror games such as Bloodborne in parts :)
Theme:
How does it fit the theme?
The soundtrack is designed for a 2D puzzle/platformer type game styled like Inside or Unravel.
The main protagonist "Mergo" is a small child smothered by their parents love and not allowed to go outside. One night he has a dream of adventure and self-discovery and chooses to run away from his home in search of this.

I love that music box intro. Neat dreamy feel. Journey is beautiful. I love the subtle piano/strings combo and then the drums. Great use of evil horns in the Nightmare theme, and music box once again to remind us it is a dream. Run Away felt more like a strategic retreat than running but great immersive feel, too. These are very well composed tracks. Thanks for sharing!
Run Away! is the star here. Feels like, I dunno, Tim Burton Batman? Liked them all, but that one stood out to me especially.
Haha I was coming here to post almost the same thing. Low heavy brass and high rushing staccato strings is Danny Elfman all over.
Effective, though.
Super nice ambiance, dreamy, good reverb usage. First track Mirego's Dream there is sooo much resonance you gotta cut some frequency and last track Run Away!.... what happened ?! At the end it just cut ! I wanted the rest of it !
hey! It cuts off cause its designed to seamlessly loop over n over, I realise it might not be a satisfying ending but I think works for the boss fight purpose I had for the track
I see, I tested the loop with the song and there is a small cut, you gotta fix the crossfade to make it seem like a perfect loop. I did it on my own to see and even with a good crossfade we know when the music is looping, try and fix the moment where you want to loop. The mix is peaking from time to time gotta watch your volume control too.
Lush sounding tracks that culminate in 'Run Away!' which has a bit of bite to it as well. Really cool and effective YouTube clip to highlight the song files as well.
Awesome job! Run Away was my favorite follow closely by Mergos Nightmare. They were both very well composed, and I especially like in Run Away when the percussion kicks in. Super dope. Overall, Great OST.
This was enjoyable to listen to, I like the dreamy atmosphere. I also think the instruments are put well together. I'd like maybe the nightmare to be more nightmarish, but that's just me :D
Melodically speaking, feels dreamy; distant.
I´m definitely getting some mystical dreamy feel from the opening track. Quite nice. Sets the tone nicely. The rest complements that feeling quite well.
