Description
Unlike my previous soundtrack, "Yumes Journey" in which almost all the songs were chiptune, in this one I have decided to use orchestral instruments. The truth is that some songs are reused from compositions I did, and that coincidentally fit with the theme... but well... I hope you like it anyway :D

Theme:

How does it fit the theme?
picture is a forest and game is in a forest lol

Love the Undertale inspired vibes through out this OST, especially in Spirits of the Forest. Could hear this in a similar indie game. Very strong composition with good amounts of variation! Danger is so cool, huge sense of urgency and makes a nice boss theme.

Great tracks, every single one of them. Love the attention to detail in the composition. Just excellent!

Magic Forest: There’s a lot of beautiful similarities between this melody and the one you used in the last OST jam. This definitely fits the magical forest vibe. Wow that voice is a perfect addition to this track. Is it a VST?? Wow great work with this one!

Spirits of the Forest: I get images of Legend of Zelda-type forests from this track. I think it’s interesting that the use of sleigh bells was effective here and it didn’t give me snow level vibes! I like the panned warbly sounds a lot and are probably my favorite part of this track!

Forest Trip: The drum beat is really effective in this track and complements the waltz-y oompa-pa from the low synth to make it feel more adventurous than dance-y.

Night: The combo of guitar and long viola accompanying the melody has a beautiful sound that gives the calming aura of a night level. I like the trade-off of the instruments that play the main melody. It’s also a great extension of the track before as they have different underlying tones, but sound very related.

Deeper Into the Forest: Another great progression of the waltz-y feel, but now paired with mystical pads overlying. I also love effective usage of tubular bells.

DANGER: Great energy in this track! The B section reminded me of Pokemon battle themes which makes this a very fun danger theme to listen to. That quick trumpet fanfare adds such a nice flare in the middle while also anticipating the build up at the last repeat of the chorus. This is a really fun track!

The Exit: I like this bouncy version of the main theme. The chord progression sounds almost bittersweet which seems to contrast with the jovial nature of the melody in a stylistic way that adds depth to the story of your game.

We Will Meet Again: There is a such a whimsical sound to the opening of this track. I love the driving cello/bass line. It sounds so full. This is a wonderful ending track. I just wish it were longer!

Overall: This is a really fun soundtrack and I’m impressed by your proficiency in so many musical genres. I would really enjoy playing the game paired with this soundtrack. Great work and thank you for sharing!

Fun little OST. Agree with some previous comments, the mixes were a little unbalanced. But overall, great job!

Very nice OST, good job.

Nice job, I really like all of these. I really enjoy chiptune mixed with orchestral instrument style on display here, and the compositions themselves are really good. I do wish you wrote more about each song and the overall story of your game just to get a better idea, but the music does paint a good enough picture. Good work!

Really fun and heartwarming soundtrack! I absolutely love the melody of all the tracks here! But like some others have said, if it had just a little bit better mixing, this would have been a solid 6 out of 5 for me! I've listened to the soundtrack twice already and it's not getting old at all! Great job!

thank you so much Rabbit!! I'm so glad you liked it that much, I will improve mixing for next time for sure!!!!

Charming and quirky :)

I had you pegged as an Undertale fan from the first 5 songs, but listening to the 6th I know now, without a doubt, that Kingdom Hearts.... is a game you like!

This was tons of fun and I can feel that you had lots of fun making it. Great job!

Developer

thank you ^_^ and yeah I love kh music! DANGER is obviously inspired in kh2 boss theme "I don't remember the name lol"

kh2 has such fun boss music. I think the one might be called “13th struggle”

Wow, so many tracks and every has a different feel, I like the music you made) But I think some sounds need some mixing

Developer

This was great to listen to. I really loved the weird and delightful vocal/melody sounds in the first 2 tracks, and the very N64-esque sounds throughout. There's a really nice balance of quirky and emotional sounding music, it's really good!

Developer

thank you!!! I really appreciate these words ^_^

I like them - I imagine them being used with something a little cartoony...something like Conker's Bad Fur Day. "DANGER" is my favorite, here - I can see the insanity coming.
