Now this I want to see turned into an animated short

A wonderful writing, with a perfect end and a more dystopian take on the grimdarkness of the setting. I'm always a fan of human-alien friendships in stories, and the ending made my heart sink for a character that I barely knew. Lovely work!

This is definitely one of my favorites in this jam. Plus, I was entirely surprised and the end, and for once, there were good humans in a xeno story. :D

Thanks, that means so much!

Amazing story. I'd love to read more of Charlotte's adventures, both before and after that ending.

Oh no! Poor Charlotte.  Would have loved to hear more of her adventures, her speech was very much what I think about when I think of her species.  Good job!

Thank you! It made me want to write more ratman lore, just so can I see how far I can push the language haha!

you should! Let me know when you drop another story for the ramen!

Really dug the vibe of this one! The harshness of Charlotte's journey and the intertwining of different species fighting together hit the theme spot on. Some parts were a bit rushed, but overall, a gripping read!
