it was very fun

how ever it's sad to me you made a remake for someone's game and didn't go with an original title :c

I've never seen a puzzle game of this type, definitely something I'm glad seeing here despite not adhering to the theme.

Also, that pattern in the screenshots is waay better than anything I could come up with in-game..haha.

i mean its pretty fun but the theme doesnt look as if its implemented at all

Developer(+1)

Yeah, that is true. I decided to do this game for this jam particularly, use the theme or not.

As for the theme, I could have implemented something that happens when the timer runs out (=death) other than directly going to the game over screen. Maybe clearing the screen and allowing to continue game, if enough blocks would have been present on screen?
That way, the block swapping mechanic woundn't been necessary. I just got too "limited" to my current planning for the game, really.

Anyway, thanks for playing!

Nice and challanging puzzle game. I enjoyed playing it

Never heard of the original. It's a cool concept and you did a good job demaking it.

I love puzzle games like that, in a Nokia could have been a killer app like Snake.

Developer(+1)

It was definitely a killer app for me, as I played Quicxo on my old Nokia 3220 phone much more than any other game.
If 3310 version would have existed, I believe it would have been similar to the Siemens version, which I never played nor can't find any information about it besides image of it on Sumea's old website

Had fun with it, would definitely play it a lot at the time on the real Nokia

a fun little demake of Quicxo level design is fun, fits the system perfectly though graphicly it does come across quite basic though looking though nokia 3310 if you shown me this i would say it was released at the time (ignoring the date on the title screen of course).

What is there to say, it is Quicxo. The theme is not incorporated though.
