Really cool you managed to finish a story-focused game alone within the time limit! All the major gripes have already been acknowledged so at this point I'll just wish you luck in continuing it and adding more stories if ever~

Game Dev Experience? (in months or days)
3 weeks! One has been spent on and off experimenting with different game dev tools, while the other two were spent on this jam. This is my first complete game ever.

Superb and unexpected writing, very melancholic (in a good way) vibes underlined by a nice audio.
Whoops! Seems like I commented in the wrong spot earlier.
TLDR; Big fan of everything here! I'd love to see more if you plan on extending it past the jam.
Really nice story!
And the audio was smoothly and beautiful as well.
The only "issue" I had was with the sfx of the text I would prefer like the half of the volume it had, so you can keep the focus of the player on the music instead.
But overall great job!
Beautiful storyline!!!
Loved the game!!
Awesome work, keep it coming!!! I'm for future updates
I really liked your idea with the narrative. I think going beyond the 2-week window we had, this story has wonderful potential and can be very impactful. I would love to see more of the other characters mentioned and their stories/how they relate to the character we saw.
I think having stronger gameplay and level design would go a long way to having a cohesive experience. Beyond the art that was there (which I liked and thought was cute, I always love hand drawn art) I thought it was a bit bland looking which took away from the end result. I think the pictures should have been bigger (show off that art!) cause they were kinda small and the text showing after picking up a picture could have been in the textbox that autoscrolled cause it was a bit tiny.
Some lovely ideas in here!
thank you, the concrit you shared especially has been on my mind! i made the screen resolution smaller than i wanted to originally since i wanted it to fit easily for itch's preferred browser resolution, but i agree that giving it more space to view the visuals and text would help so much. level design and gameplay mechanics are definitely something i have much to work on as someone who comes from an art background and i hope to make it so much better in the future. thank you again for stopping by with your thoughts, they are very appreciated ❤
loved the game, the audio is fantastic and the idea is great!
well done!
This is a fantastic first game, simple but very effective.
The audio is fantastic and it definitely follows the theme very well.
