Congratulations on finishing a game in Godot! I think as you learn more about the engine you’ll really enjoy it!
You had a lot of nice ideas! I won't repeat what others have said, but you should definitely keep it up and keep learning! Welcome to Godot :)
Oh, for whatever reason, the first time I played, the transition after billy disappeared would not trigger. I reloaded, and it worked the second time. You also had collisions on the speech boxes :P I think if you use the CanvasLayer node instead, that will take care of that.
Good job! I think speeding up the text a bit would increase the pace. Also, I think if you sprint while spamming fireball, you can get damaged by your own fireball (unless I was missing something).
Good job though!
Good job man! other then the blurry assets you did a good job.
For a first time game it's good the art was a little blurry. Overall the game is good
A little to easy for my liking. You can just sit on a platform make yourself a coffee shoot some fireballs and go back to the kitchen to make a sandwich.
You should make on your character controls snappier. Currently the character is way too floaty and slow. This might be bearable for aśuch short game, but it will be a dealbraker in an actual game.
Also I am pretty sure that you forgot to deactivate the fireball ability before talking to the rocket boss. I blasted him with fireballs while he was talking smack and he instantly died when the fight began.
Comment below gives good advice. I haven't worked with Godot, but I know that this is an easy fix in Unity.
Great job finishing a game! That's a big hurdle to get over and you did it!
It looks like you didn't import your assets as pixel art in Godot. You can go to the import tab and choose the 2D Pixel preset to fix that blurriness. Take a look at this article for step by step instructions.
Good luck on your future projects!
