This was cool! I loved the animations and art! Music was great too! Fun experience, good work!

Fun little action game!

I think I would have enjoyed this more if the main character moved a bit faster. As it is, it was very hard to dodge enemy fire, and I was very reliant on my secondary attack.

Edit: I initially thought there was no sound, but the volume is just really low! Good music, but it would be nice to turn the volume up a bit.

Hadn't thought about that before, actually, increasing the speed. Since there was a fair bit of walking too then it would have probably helped those moments out.

Increasing your power was really satisfying in this game - I loved how you could one-shot the enemies that took 10 hits before, although the progression to get to that point was a little slow. The sound design was nice too, if a little quiet. Overall, it was a really nice simple game, good work!

Cute submission for the minijam. I really liked the character design, he seems super cool and his powers felt impactful. At time the game was quite challenging with all the flying bullets. Great job keep it up

Love this one! I felt very engaged with the mechanic and theme.

Only strange thing is how the player will face different directions when I thought the attack

Overall a fun game. Congrats!

I really liked the art for this game. At some points though I think there were more than five colors on the screen though.

Other than that great game!

I went into this game thinking i wouldn't enjoy it but i actually really did, i love the rpg feel of getting stronger and taking on better enemies, a couple of things to critique is probably; the sudden change from the weak enemies to the big horned creatures was very sudden, perhaps an enemy in between that is half as strong would be a good change of pace, the boss itself while a good challenge but there appears to have a few spots of the room he can get stuck on, other than that i quite enjoyed it, great concept.

Thanks for the long feedback. :) I think your critique is spot-on. At least another enemy type would have done the game good, and I'm not surprised the boss got stuck, as we didn't have time to iron out bugs too much either. Apparently some imps (big-horned creatures) can also get out-of-bounds.

The overall flow of the game feels slow, but for what is here it was enjoyable

Very interesting mechanics! Good replayability makes you want to open that door. The game is quite challenging, although I really like it.
