I like the art style, the music and the game concept. It's just that due to the randomness of where the treasure chest appears you can get into situations where you cannot avoid to die.

Expanding on the game concept, adding some levels and more enemy types and you got yourself a great indie title that could sell quite a few copies imo.

Thanks for playing!

Pro Tip: if you put a sun tile and an ice tile with one space between them you might gain a bit more control of Chad 🙂

Ok, so that is the kind of game you start by thinking to yourself it gonna be simple and boring.

And after 5 trials, you realize it soooooo much complex!

I enjoyed seeing two skeletons hitting each other and killing themselves! But more came...

Oh, and the pause button is exacty what I was looking for!

Developer(+1)

It takes a true Chad to realize the complexity 😎

Thanks for playing!!

Nice job! I can't figure out what the weather other than lightning does though, as that seems to be the only thing that kills monsters. Other than that it's a pretty nice, hectic game. Good job!

Thanks for playing! We've actually updated the game quite a bit (per GameJam rules) so that there is more functionality with the other tile types. We'd love for you to play again for a more complete experience!

I gotta be honest, that gameplay is not what I expected from that title. It was relatively simple but man did it get hectic quickly. I loved the little animations of the characters and the music was fantastic. Great job all around!

Thanks for playing! We actually had some bugs on release and not all the tiles had effects :) We've updated our game now to be a more complete experience if you'd like to give it another try. Thanks for playing! We'll be sure to tell our composer everyone loved his OST :D

This game lets me control the weather? I see what you did here.

The concept is plain and simple, and yet the game can become quite hectic at times, so I'm glad you've added the ability to pause time and think!

Sometimes my clicks don't register for no apparent reason. I'm not sure if it's my mouse to blame or some hidden time gate, but I would appreciate the ability to change weather in the pause mode. It wouldn't make the game much easier, since weather cooldowns are paused too and it will immensely benefit the player-game interaction.

It was very fun though.

Thanks for your feedback and for playing! We took your advice, actually (per GameJam rules), and put the ability to place tiles while the game is paused. We've updated a lot more tile effects / interactions and would love for you to give another try to see how it feels. Thanks again!

Kudos to you for promptly acting on players' feedback!

I have to say, it works even better than I hoped for. Now that your game is beginning to strike the right chord, are you considering making a mobile version?

The song is a bop!

The lack of visual feedback does make it hard to understand how to play but I love the cute art and the song. It's kind of a funny concept (I get the meme) but I am not sure how it relates to theme (also the enemies could have been the virgin guy instead of the skeleton to fit better).

I felt like I was clicking and sometimes I could get lighting to strike and sometimes not and I wasn't sure how to influence it. I think the idea of playing as the weather is really novel though.

Thanks for your feedback! We took it to heart and updated our UI (per GameJam rules of course). To be completely honest, there were some bugs upon the initial submission that made tiles not really having effects :) We've fixed up everything now and the experience is much more complete if you'd like to give another try. Thanks again for playing!

It's so much more fun and better now. I also managed to figure out what extension was causing some issues with selecting new weather. I really like the improvements and chaining together weather effects.
