The simple pixel art is great and I like the music too. However, the game is way too easy (I played to 125). The gameplay also lacks variety, so it gets boring quite quickly.

I enjoyed the art and music, game play was good too but I feel around the 200 score point there is a spike in difficulty, I went from thinking the game was a bit easy to being over run quite fast. Fun little game tho

I love it! Gameplay is simple, but it provides dose of fun. And I'm fun of pixel art, and your minimalist one hit the spot perfectly.

nice gameplay, the audio isn't looping in my browser

Developer

Thats odd. The audio should be looping. Maybe it's just a weird WebGL bug?

probably, nothing too bad

Very cute game!

I like the pixel art and the mechanics are simple but well polished.

The aiming mechanic is not used since enemies always come from the same 3 directions. It could have been WAD or left/right/up arrow to shoot and it would have been the same and actually spared us some wrist pain you get later in the game from clicking back and forth at high speed.

Or instead, let the parachute enemies to fly at you from multiple directions.

Developer

Yea we originally intended for enemies to come down diagonally as well but didn't have the time to do so in the end unfortunately. Part of me does wish that i changed the controls to keys because it wouldn't have been much more work to implement but by the end i was tired and just wanted to submit so i guess i just didn't think of it. Thanks for the feedback!

Nice game! The art is pretty neat. The background music does not seem to fit the pirate theme, although it is really good :)

An improvement would be to make the cannon shoot when the mouse is being clicked instead of having to click each time.
