Congrats on taking 1st. Really enjoyed the game. Will definitely be sneaking.over to your page next time I'm bored at work to blow up triangles

Great game! Enjoyable to the point it can be addictive, and the visuals are on point. My biggest critique is that the shake feels a bit too strong, so at least an option to reduce it would be excellent. Also, sometimes i felt that the connections weren't being made despite there being no obstructions, could it be that the collision boxes are too small?

Regardless, one of the best submissions I've played!

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! I think the collision boxes may be a bit larger especially on triangles cause I used circle colliders to avoid some bugs, will fix this once I have time, thanks again!

Brilliant way to address the theme and limitation!! I also love how intuitive the mechanics are for the different shapes and how natural it is for the player to understand once new shapes appear. I also appreciate that a noise sfx happens when you try to connect two shapes but a different shape obstructs the line. I think it would be helpful if there was also a visual indication that the move isn't possible (for situations where a player may be playing with their sound off). Outside of that minor nitpick, brilliant job!

Thanks for the feedback! I thought of having a visual indicator such as the overlapping part of the line glowing red, but it would take too much time to implement for this gamejam, maybe a text indicator could have been better, I will try to implement this once I have time to work on it, thanks again

Absolutely fantastic entry! The presentation is absolutely on point, the screen shake and the audio feedback for connecting shapes feels incredible, and the mechanics are so intuitive. The gameplay loop is so addictive too I played like 5 rounds of this and had to force myself to stop to come rate the game. The gradual difficulty increase is perfect too, just an overall fantastic work

My one gripe is that I wish the tutorial was skippable because with a fast paced game like this I wanna keep retrying it because it's so fun but I end up  having to sit through what feels relative to the game speed a really long intro. But that's literally the only gripe I have with an otherwise phenomenal game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the kind wordss! The intro is just text and doesn't make the game progress any slower during the intro, the shapes still spawn during it happening. But maybe it could also be quite obstructing during the first 20 seconds of the game so probably a skip button would be pretty good if I have time to implement it. Thanks again!

I love how dramatic the sound effects and music were, very fun to play, I really enjoyed it!

Are you serious!

This is one of the finest games in the Game Jam presentation! You managed to correctly match the theme with the limitation.
Good thing you went and commented on my game otherwise who knows when I would have seen yours...

I loved the fact that the number of connections to make changes depending on the amount of vertices in the shape. I also liked the screen shake effect although it's probably a bit much but maybe it's just my impression. Also I think you should make the intro skippable so if someone loses they don't have to wait those seconds to start again.

Despite that, great game!

I love this game! Literally just as I started thinking "it would be better if you could destroy more than 1 at a time" the triangles showed up. It got great progression, easily to understand and really addictive. Awesome game!

Timing really is amazing lol. Thank you!

Good use of the limitation and the theme! Very simple idea but very addicting and epic while playing.

Developer

Thank you!

Surprisingly addicting.

Thanks!

Love the game. Really cool idea. The tutorial play every time I restart tho, would be nice to be able to skip it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! I will try to implement that if I ever continue to develop this. The "tutorial" at the beginning is just text to play at the easy start, but the enemies will still spawn while it happens. Thanks again!!

This game gets challenging quickly. This is a really cool and unique idea, well done!

Developer

Thanks!!
