Really cool mechanic! I'm typically not the biggest fans of these types of games because I often find that the best strategy is to run and spam bullets, but this idea solves both of those problems! It makes the game interesting– I enjoyed it quite a lot!

One thing about the mechanic that I noticed is that I felt disincentivized to shoot from long range. I think the close-range shots make for exciting gameplay, but I wish there was some kind of reward for sniping someone from across the screen! Maybe doing so could spawn an extra bullet for you?

Great game overall :D

Maybe a comeback mechanic when you have 1 or 2 bullets left while there are 10 enemies rushing you would be nice, final level was very tedious since this happened to me!

I enjoyed the simple art direction and the "don't miss" feeling to it is great!

Apart from the limitation not being really applied, the game is very solid, gameplay feels nice while remaining simple and original! Music and graphics gives a cozy retro vibe and the whole thing looks really polished !

Great entry !

really good retro feel to the game the third level was a nice increase in difficulty as well and a new enemy type. Good job on your game and crazy you did everything but the font.

This is a very cool little game. The challenge ramped up at a good rate, I finished the last level with a single bullet that I had to use on that last 5 or 6 enemies. Music and sounds are good, pixel art is nice with a cool and simple style. The shooting felt good, and the health mechanic encouraged a high-risk high-reward melee range berserker style.

Great entry, thanks for making this cool game.

Very charming game, I like the pixel graphics in combination with the music and sounds.
Also the overall mechanics of the game and the way the enemies drop hearts is oddly satisfying.

I love the idea of health as bullets and you executed it so well! The art and music were great too. I finished all three stages and had a lot of fun. Good job!

I loved the game, I really like this simpler graphic style. Mechanics generate tension and challenge in the right measure. Good job! A browser version would make it even more accessible. :)

This is a great game! Really polished with the sounds and animations, I feel like you got a little screwed when it comes to reviews with the fact that you dont have a browser version.

I'm glad you like it! Yeah I'm using Godot 4 which at the moment doesn't have the best browser support, plus I'm not experienced with that kind of thing yet... I hope to get a browser build working someday, though!
