Yk this is a reallly cool idea.
I can imagine future levels where u get like 5 barbed wires and you have to plan how you move in the level to dodge as many as u can.
That is very unique and fits the theme very well aswell!
You have to escape but It it also YOU who is trying to stop you
I hope u go on to work on this further after the jam cuz Id absolutely LOVE to try more levels (maybe with sound :))

Id say more visual and audio feedback for when u do stuff like placing barbed wire, walking into one and stuff would be nice!
And maybe U can see the no. of barbed wires in the game when Ur the prisoner so u can start to plan where to place the wires from the start?

I really like the vibe and art, but it could be better. Otherwise, the game is good!
Interesting idea to play as both sides. I get the concept to fit the theme but this mechanic would be cool as a 2 player game too. Nevertheless good job on your game!
Someone else mentioned it but I also agree that using middle mouse button is an interesting choice, the only way I was able to figure that out was by reading the description so not very intuitive. Hopefully you can flesh out the game with more levels and obstacles cause I definitely see the potential!
I think this game would work very well as a 2-player game. Have one player choose an escape path and the other place obstacles then run the simulation of whether or not the prisoner escaped. Then its a game of psychology, trying to get into the mind of what your opponent and how they would escape/setup.
Dang its sad that it is not finished. I can see it succeed. Bro finish it after the jam.
But the decision to use middle click to place barbed wire is kinda strange. I think it is more natural to use right mouse.
