WOOOOW this is so cool, i like it, gameplay feels great, visuals are fine, and the exceution was great too, pretty recommended,

Hope this helps

The intro was very unique, the style of game compared to other in the jam also unique, the control choices were a little unique also...overall I found it kind of average and difficult to actually progress. I died like 10 times in 5 minutes at beginning. Hiding behind certain boxes was a challenge you would slip and get shot...or they were detecting quite in your favor...I would like to come back and see how the story progresses. The sound was cool, the theme was cool, the art was cool. I gonna rate it around 3.8 giving points back for Sensory. It was stimulating mostly, and will want to venture back further, always hoping people have game pad support and downloadable version. This had neither, so loosing points in those categories for me personally

Hello,

I have been playing for some minutes and I really like the concept, the art, the presentation overall. I would love to see more.

As others said below, I see that improvement needs be done on player's allowance. I only can progress if I have died before to see and memorize the level. So, dying becomes trivial, necessary, burocratic, and it becomes the foundation of the game as it is now. I propose to amend this deeply.

Don't let a game with this great potential be shadowed by that.

Cheers

The name of the game and the screenshots led me to believe that I'll be getting an experience similar to Deadbolt or My Friend Pedro.

The art is nice, though the different pixel resolutions for the background and the character sprites are a pet peeve of mine. The colors are nice, and the objects are readable, thought.

The music is great, and the sounds are nice, but I don't know if the walking sound overlaps, or just that the audio clip sounds more like a group running, rather than a single individual.

The gameplay is a bit confusing. The style, story, and music would lead me to believe it will be a fast paced shooter, but it isn't. The very low health, bullet count and long reload time drives me toward a more careful playstyle, but the guitar riff playing says otherwise. Hiding behind stuff to avoid damage is a neat mechanic, but even in the screenshots I can see you take damage, before being able to hide, which pretty much defeats the purpose, which is extra harsh, considering you only have 2 health points.

I stopped playing after entering the second house, and getting ambushed on both sides when entering the first door. If there was a checkpoint after entering the house, I might have continued, but as it is currently, I won't continue.

There is no threshold for error currently, and successful progress depends solely on knowing what happens in the level, and pre-acting upon that (firing before the enemy enters the screen, for example).

This kind of gameplay can be fun, but I think you need to give the players some allowance on mitigating damage. Being able to roll anytime, or having a much more forgiving amount of time between the enemy spotting the player, and firing.

The visual looks cool, i like the static effect and the cutscene art. The sprites animation look nice too.

The gameplay is interesting, but most of the time you dont have enough time to react, i basically need to remember every enemies position to win. Also really hoped that it have savepoint.

Anyways, cool game!

The art is cool and the vibes are great! It is a bit difficult to have to start over from the very beginning when you die, but I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Great game and great music! A little difficult but great potential in this game. Good job!

I mostly agree with what Davide Puato said. The game looks really nice, is a fresh take on the genre and it has great potential. But it needs balancing. It is way too unforgiving. You usually don't have enough reaction time for only having two lives.

I really dig the aesthetics and music, though. And I am looking forward to seeing updates of this game.

Love the game and the arts. But I seems to not manage to react very fast with the game. The enemies are fast.

Thnks for playing , i suggests hiding and shoot at right moment in this state of the game as I have noticed issues and have tried to fix it but can't update due to jam being locked.

Cool style that the game is going for, it made me think of the game "Not a Hero", and the intro dialogue paints a cool and brutal picture about the game's world, and when I say brutal I mean it lol, the game is stylish but also veeery hard, which in some parts made it a little bit frustrating, especially after death because the checkpoint is too far behind, which made me play in a "cheesy" way, in which I would pre-fire before enemies got on screen in hopes it would kill them before they shot, which worked, but it made the game's strategic cover and shoot combat less fun, since I had to memorize the enemies location and fire away before they appeared, perhaps making hideouts more common or easier to take cover could help, or increasing the players health, maybe by regenerating 1 HP after killing an enemy so better playing skill is rewarded with a longer healthbar, and if you take too many hits, at least you have 1 hp for the next enemy, just some ideas. Also it seems that some sounds are missing like shooting and reloading.

But overall, this is a very stylish game with a different take on the common metroidvania gameplay, which is very cool. And it also has a lot of potential if it was more polished and rebalanced, especially if the game had a synthwave soundtrack, it could fit very well. So congrats!

HOLY DAMN, now that's what I call a hell of a feedback.  Thanks a ton for your review! Glad you liked the graphics.  Just today I have worked on an update to the game fixing (I Hope lol) some of the things you pointed out yada yada yada , sadly this game jam won't let me update the game . Difficulty was intentional but it ruined the experience of mere humans, so to fix that I added a feature; when an enemy die there is a 1/6th chance that they might drop health buff. Another thing from you comment I liked is your point on Covers, so I added more hiding areas! BUT IM A PEOPLE HATER!! so yes, I added more enemies. So, let's talk about checkpoints, when I'll add more areas to the game checkpoints will make sense.  Hope you'll return when I'll update the game.

Great graphics and amazing sound design! I did notice though it was a little bit hard because you have like barely any time to react for most enemies unless you memorized where they were. Other then that great job!

Thanks a ton for your feedback! Glad you liked the graphics and sound. I've heard you on the difficulty issue and I've got an update in the works to fix that. Stay tuned and thanks for playing!

Cool graphics and sound. It is brutal though; low health along with enemies that shoot as soon as they get on-screen made me have to memorize where they were and shoot before i could see them. Otherwise, good job and congrats.

Thank you very much. I hope you enjoyed the game. Yes, map can be memorized easily as everything is placed manually, I'll keep that in mind will try to fix this in next update...
