Hi one of the best game from this jam. Very cool art, very good transformation power for the exploration.

Good job.

If that's a third of what you initially wanted to make you were actually planning to make a full game, weren't you? :D

I love the aesthetic, it's especially pretty in the fluorescent areas. Cool of you to add lil bonus animation

Super good game so far! I got stuck where everyone else did, but I can see the potential! Pretty well polished as is.

There’s not much to critique here either. I had issues changing to/from the cat with the right trigger on my game pad, like it was registering too many taps or something. But that’s about it. The character controlled well, but the ground speed seemed a bit slow. And I would have liked to be able to gain health more regularly. But these aren’t big issues - or maybe not even issue at all.

So far the level is well laid out and interesting and there’s a good variety of enemies too. But could there be more to do in the game? Add currency to collect and spend on upgrades! Like a snazzy new wand with a longer range? Or ruby slippers that allow players to teleport back to a safe place of their choosing?

And what’s up with that witch with the orange ball attack? Is there a story here? Will there be a showdown at the end? Or are they frenemies? Story, no matter how bare, would help this game I think.

We would love to know what you think would help our game be better! So, if you would, please try it out and let us know what you think in the submission comments! Thanks!

Super adorable and my favorite so far! I had to stop playing though because for some reason when I transferred to a different area I was stuck in the air and essentially soft locked and I didn't wanna start from scratch :(. It was right after the crystal of healing. Still it was short and sweet with nice and slow controls that fit the more relaxed nature of the game. Keep up the work!

This is a really solid entry. Honestly, probably one of the best I've played this jam! The art, especially the backgrounds at the start, are beautiful, and the character is responsive, although they feel a little sluggish. The cat-form upgrade is essentially a morph ball, but better. It has a speed boost, which actually makes it useful, and you had the sense to add anti-wallclip code, unlike most of this jam's games! Kinda annoyed I got bugged at that transition like everybody else, as I would have loved to try my hand at the bossfight! Good job!

★ Enjoyment: 5/5

Cute game! Love the shapeshifting witch character~

★ Design: 5/5

I like the attack movement of the main character, and the enemies weren't frustrating. But F the bat.

★ Presentation: 5/5

The art style is cute, and the BGM is kinda nice.

Note: I got stuck when I go to the upper level from the crystal of healing

The game looks great. Something about the game gives it a retro feel that I love. Definitely one of my favorite games here.

This game is so charming! The controls feel pretty good, the art is gorgeous, this is one of my favorites. (I also stopped at the bug after the healing stone).

A very solid game, excellent controls and design. I want to see more of what this universe can offer! Unfortunately I also stopped at the bug after the healing stone. But I will definitely wait for an update to play again!

Beautiful game! It's a great concept — I was immediately intrigued by the premise and wanted to learn more (who is the mysterious mage who traps the protagonist underground, etc). As for some feedback:

  • It would've been nice if there was a way to heal. I found myself at an impasse on my first playthrough because restarting leaves the character at their previous health (one hit until death in my case) so the rest of my run became a no-hit challenge.
  • While I was able to use a pad for the most part, I'm not certain if the shapeshift form was mapped? I had to switch between keyboard and pad to play.

Other than that, it was an incredibly responsive and aesthetically pleasing game. Despite the disclaimer that it didn't have all of the content you planned, I actually found it to be incredibly feature rich and enjoyable.

Thanks for playing and your feedback!!

I just tested it, the shapeshift form should work with left triger of a gamepad.

This is one of my favorite games of the jam so far. Great character design, solid animation, engaging level design, good music & sound effects. Overall what you did manage to produce is something to be proud of. Same as everyone else, I hit a game ending bug in the room just above the healing crystal. If you developed this a little more I'd pay money for it.

I wound up stuck in the same place as BasketQase. Very cool, I enjoyed the music and more subtle sfx, graphics were great! The design had me interested, I may go back and see how much progress I can make in other directions.

Thanks for playing!!

Yes! there is a weird bug and the room can't be loaded, I will try to solve it

Similar to Cormorant42, I was not even expecting something running, and this turns out to look good, plays super smooth, has a cool cutscene, and you can play as a cat (which I'm partial, too, haha)! It also has a nice level flow and pretty good enemy placement. I love the look of the glowing mushrooms, and hate how hard it is to hit the bats xD

It did, however, lock up when going up to the room above the first health crystal. I wonder if that's just where the work ended for the jam or if it's a bug cutting off whatever else you might've put together. It would be extra sad if it were the latter, because I was definitely enjoying the game!

Developer

Thaks for playing.

There is an strage bug that I though I fixed. And that room can be loaded, Its so strange really bcause it doesn't happen in editor.

I'll tell you, above the Healing Crystal there is the last room with a simple boss and then the final credits

Thaks again for playing, I will try your game

Aw, bummer! I would've liked to have seen the boss!

Honestly, judging by the project page I didn't think this had that much going for it--but it's actually a really solid game! Nice work!

Same! A sleeper for sure

Thanks for your comment and for playing, I didn't have time to make a pretty page, I will do it soon...

It's not that big of deal! Gameplay is what counts
