Awesome concept !

Plus i really dig the art, i think you’ve nailed the blend of sci-fi and fantasy in the mech’s design. And i gotta applaude as well on a technical level having so much detail on the player character with such a tiny sprite when you’re on foot :O But yeah that reaper dude looks sick !

For what is there i fell there is a strong base to make a full game out of it, shame there’s no sound yet (cause i assume it’s due to time)

If i had to nitpick i’d just say the platforming when on foot needs a bit of work, i’ve had a bit of trouble ion the section where you get flung high up by the jumppad thing. And the control scheme seems a bit odd having the attack button so close to the directions like that.

Other than that it was pretty cool to pkay through this, i defeated the red queen, not sure what the blue symbol did once i collected it though.

Overall great job for a solo effort :)

Super cool idea. The world is pretty interesting and would love to see it expanded on. It gives me metrovania feels and i like it! Nice job!

I loved the artwork and the feel, but it froze on me when I was in the large knight. The lack of any audio at all for me was very off putting and reduced the immersion a lot. Great work getting an entry in as a solo dev, it sounds like maybe you were traveling so didn't have time to fix things up as you would have liked. Well done!

There is a really nice idea here, and the art is pretty great all things considered. Would have loved some sort of sound or music, but with the limited time frame, I get it.

I had some slight issues; mostly stuff like the pilot's attack being very stiff and clunky, the overall slowless of handling the mech... With so little feedback, audio or otherwise from everything, it just ends up feeling pretty unsatisfying.

Still, the central mechanic here is neat, and I'd love to see it expanded on.

Good job!

Some really nice visuals here! Unfortunately I got a crash that stopped me from continuing 😔

A lovely distinct visual style, and a unique core concept that I think has a TON of potential.

I can see so much open design space surrounding the levels, for example, using the mech as a mobile platform to reach new areas, or adding new ways to spend essence. Typical metroid-vania progression elements would fit right in (such as new weapons and abilities that open up the map more).

The basic combat of the mech had a good rhythm to it. The pilot's attack was too stationary, and felt slow/unresponsive though.

The main issue was the frame-rate. This game was maxing out my GPU, and going down to ~15 FPS (rough guess). Some audio would also be nice.

Huge fan of both the art and the premise of this, there's tons of potential in having a mix-match of gameplay of on-foot platforming segments to then switch to an entirely different style of gameplay when in the mecha.

I sadly got a crash partway in on my first try though :c
