How does your game fit the theme "Unconventional Means"?
Instead of using a light switch or something else that makes sense you use a gun to shoot the bulbs to satisfy the narrator.

Lights Out Ups and Downs

Ups:

  • Graphics are pretty nice
  • Concept is very unconventional
  • Having the option of ending the game early by not helping the narrator was a funny addition

Downs:

  • More variety would have been nice. I think shooting lightbulbs in the factory was cool, but expanding to more locations, maybe including different ways of shooting light bulbs and/or making the bulbs move in some way to make them harder to hit would be really cool

Overall, a short but fun experience!

It's cool to see a scratch game! I really like the visuals and it's always nice to see voice acting! This is a very interesting concept for a game that's focused on a  narrative experience. Good job!

Very original ideas. You did a good job in the voice acting deparment, though you really need a better microphone, as the audio came out a bit choppy. It's fairly basic, but you're a 1 man army for doing sound, coding, and art all by yourself! 

The SFX from clicking where very loud on the conveyor level, I think this is tied to the fact that I can hold the mouse down, and have it loop. For a game like this, you'd probably want to make every "smash" an individual click, as opposed to holding. 

Good job, you have a lot of potential in game dev, esspecially considering how young you sound!

Thanks! I'm glad for the feedback and I do agree in the sound department. I rushed it and did it in an hour, I thought the due date was a day ahead its time so yeah. Thanks for the feedback!

I've never seen a jam game done in scratch- huge props from me.
And the fact that you have voice acting, and it gets to the point so quickly? That is really great.
The theme is "Unconventional Means" and my god you nailed it
