Not a bad capture the flag sort of game,at least that's how i see this game.Defeat enemies make money for reinforcements.Overall pretty cool.
Thanks for checking out my game. Though capture the flag was not exactly my vision for the game, I'm cool with it if that style of play made it enjoyable :)
As a strategy game fanatic, I really enjoyed this. I like the concept as well, also I think you've done a good job on the AI programming too it is quite challenging but not too over the top challenging which I think is hard (in a way) to get right. I did encounter one bug though, When you click restart the game crashes, only after you reach the stage of having the space station where you can order more troops. I didn't have any problems before that but afterwards if I clicked restart the game would crash. Otherwise great job, if you're planning on developing this further I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it!
Thanks for the appreciative comments. I'm glad that my game appealed to your taste. I pan on extending the game. As a matter of fact, I've begun working on it. Hope I can keep you interested with an update i plan on releasing next week :)
If possible could you send me a screenrecording of the crash? I've been trying to replicate the issue since i read your comment but have failed to do so :(
nvm i got the bug. I'll fix it asap
Overall pretty fun, neat game!
The bars for health and stuff were a stretched oval? Was that intentional? Maybe make them all rectangles. Also there were some issues with overlapping 'plane'ts or whatnot, but that didn't hinder gameplay at all.
I began to understand the game as I played through but maybe a SLIGHT intro would have helped a lot.The nature of the game did bring some cool moments though, like me holding out just until the cargo ship could come and deliver another major wasp and fleet. That was pretty cool.
A great addition to this game would be more ships and fleets to control with different specialties (more health, speed, attack, attack speed, etc) but for sure you have a strong baseline.
The sound was really good, and the graphics were very pleasing as well. Maybe the UI could be polished, but it does its job. I especially like the environment and the ships on both sides. A cherry on top would be to add animations maybe to the ships, but that might be an unnecessary addition.
Great job!
thanks for the thorough feedback. UI was among the last hour things that I did so the quality suffered there. I'm working on making it better. I've created 4 player and 2 enemy units with unique abilities since the jam. Hope they perform well.
May i request a screenshot of the overlapping 'plane'ts? I'm sorry I didn't understand that part :)
Sounds good!
Heres the 'bug', it looks like it only happens when the camera is moving. You can see the one face that is flashing (thought I thought there were more, my bad)
Again, great game, and if you work on it I'm sure it'll have a nice future : )
Thanks a lot! I'll get to work straight away
Nice game. Looks great and has some interesting mechanics on limiting how many units you have.
I wasn't able to get far. Every time the enemy units came and took over my production building I was out of luck. Not sure if I just wasn't building units fast enough or what... Fun and challenging little game though. Defiantly could be expanded to a full game that would be enjoyable to play.
Thanks for playing my game and posting an appreciative comment. I actually overshot myself, went low on time which resulted in me not being able to adjust pacing at the end of the game. I'll fix that in further development.*fingers crossed*
P.S your game looks nice. would check it out soon.
Really cool jam game! I love the intro sequence in the beginning and how the game slowly expands as more islands appear. Controls were a little unclear at first, but you figure them out soon enough (though would recommend the inclusion of some form of Pause Menu in the future). Definitely getting a strong Total Annihilation influence but there is enough going on different that makes it its own unique experience. Would love to play an expanded version of this :D
Thanks for playing and providing valuable feedback. I am happy you liked it. Especially thanks for the game reference. I have actualy not played the game but now i will to have a good reference :)
Heads up, the Mac version won't open! I'm on Catalina 10.15.3 if that helps.
oh shoot! let me try fix this :(
due to not having a macOS computer and time constraint. I have to pull back the macOS version from the page :(
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for showing interest.
No problem, thanks for taking a look! :-)
Despite the simplistic presentation, the strategies that the player develops over time and the AI make it really enjoyable. I think that with some polish and a few gameplay additions, you would have an incredibly fun strategy game.
Thanks for giving my game a try :)
Hopefully I can make it better during quarantine (Fingers crossed)
Good luck mate!
Thanks, enjoyed your game as well :)
Interesting Idea . The tutorial would have been a bit better but other than that amazing game :)
Thanks for playing my game:) You're right, making games intuitive is something i've been struggling with and will have to work upon.
I loved it, congratulations on the game! All 5 stars :)
OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! love you! You made my day! Hope you have a lovely day ahead :)

Interesting strategy game with some Start Craft vibes. The Enemy AI seems to be aware of what you have captured and goes to recapture it for itself, by which I was pleasantly surprised - so it can give the player a strategic challenge.
As a note - it would be nice to have clear instructions on what and how to spent the given resources (some help/info page besides the one for the controls and objective). But with playing the game this should become obvious to the player.
Thanks for playing my game and providing valuable feedback :) I definitely became overambitious and as a result missed things out. But now that you have pointed it out, I will work on it to make resource spending more clear. Thanks a lot, I hope you had fun playing
