The mechanics are really really fun. The movement options were interesting to explore. The game is a bit too punishing in my opinion, even for a Foddian game. Some visual aspects make it hard to know exactly where your player is in relation to other objects at times. Overall, an amazing game for a jam. Would love to play a fully fleshed out ARPG with these mechanics.

This game is incredible. A lot of very challenging and creative obstacles. I have so many praises to sing about this game! The only thing I can offer as criticism is the camera being a bit close to the character sometimes; perhaps the mouse wheel can scroll out so the view of the obstacles is a bit clearer.

I love the presentation of this! I found the controls a little tricky at times, but the vertical progression and variety of actions were fun. Great work!

GOATED only thing is fuck the planes, my only criticism!

What a creative art style I feel as if I am in a notebook, gameplay feels nice and still frustrating. Like a Foddian should be. Definitely recommend the windows version as it runs a lot better.

This game is awesome! Very creative art style and cool mechanics. My only critique is about that paper airplane, it doesn't even have the courtesy to let me stand first before attacking me again lol, but other than that I love the parry and dodge and all that good stuff.

Cool aesthetic, and the fighting mechanics and stuff were really neat, but, unfortunately, I felt the game design was kind of at odds with the foddian aspect of it.  It was cool to block and attack and whatnot, but your own punch when attacking an enemy sending you all the way back to the beginning of the game was kind of rough.  I felt like I was just playing a tutorial on loop most of the time.  Still a really cool concept.  I'd honestly ditch the foddian aspect of it if you pursue this project further and focus more on the combat.

Beautiful aesthetic, lovely decisions with the art direction here. The movement felt pretty great honestly - pretty amazing submission!

this game feels amazing, once you get a hang of the parry mechanic so many doors open up for you, finding skips has never been more fun!

thanks for playing it on stream! the live feedback was both useful and entertaining (and im sorry!)

Just so cool! it's really fun to play and the visuals remind me of those stickman fight animations that were popular when I was in middle school! Definitely one of the most fun games I've played this jam!

I remember those! I'm sure some part of taste was influenced by those videos, so who knows if this game would even exist if not for them...

I love the art style and the jump has a nice twist to it!

i was skeptical at first when i came to the precise platforming with 3d but i think this game pulls it off way better than i expected, the main complaints i have is that the all white aesthetic makes it really hard to tell where you are and that the long hit stun makes getting back into the action take a bit too long. I also think its really cool having defensive options though i wish the moves interacted with each other in some way

Developer

thanks for the feedback!  I think I became numb to the hitstun due to how long I tested the game with even more brutal settings, lmao. and I agree regarding the difficulty of depth perception in this shading-less aesthetic, it definitely influenced me to lean more into timing challenges than precision platforming.

oh and regarding move interaction, there is actually a pretty key interaction between parry and the dash-punch, it's explained in a tutorial room shortly after the second paper airplane.  that said, I had your exact same thought regarding the dodge.  unfortunately i just ran out of time to give it much of a purpose beyond (maybe?) being the fastest horizontal movement + its ability to hover if you do it off a ledge.

Very cool style! I'm a sucker for anything monochrome or sketch style.

thanks! and me too!
