Impressive, presentation is very good :)
Thanks, yes we tried to replicate the original Pokemon look with some little adjustments :)
Finally, I can use my favorite emoji for battle. I love how you reduced Pokemon battles to their basics.
I encountered some bugs: If you spam pressing space after a battle, the next battle might start with no music. Also opponents sometimes start with less health. This was extreme after I lost in silver cup. When I tried again, the first few opposing emoji had only 1 health or so.
Definitely a nice game and the heroic music fits quite well.
Thanks for the bug report… I encountered that music mute, too, during development but was not sure what caused it :)
Thanks for playing and the feedback, too!
Great game! I really liked the idea. The matchups were kinda hard for me to remember though since they aren't that logical sometimes, but the game experience was quite fun. My best try was at Silver Cups final, where I lost.
Thanks for playing and your feedback! Yes the type assignments to each of the emojis might have been a bit random at times… ;)
The presentation is MEGA EFFECTIVE! This developer knows how to increase tension with some epic music. It's an awesome take on the pet battling rpg genre. Graphics are good and the look and feel is very similar to other monster battling games. Really well done! Great job.
Thank you so much for your comment :)
Epic music, but I wish the average damage was a bit higher – those fights where two emojis only deal regular damage to each other last a bit too long, I think.
Other than that, nice job making an affinity system, it fits the emoji theme well :)
Thanks… yes without any effective attacks it takes a bit long… especially with only one attack to choose from…
Good job.
Thanks!
The music is so over the top in the best way haha
Thank you so much. Our composer did an amazing job :D
The music was absolutely epic. The game is extremely polished too!
Thanks for your kind words! dishcandanty did an amazing job on the soundtrack!
The music is SO INTENSE. I love it. Using a pack of 64 emojis is inspired. The gameplay feels authentic. Good job!
Thanks :) Yes that asset pack was a great tip by Akzidenz (emojis were a random crazy idea since we couldn’t come up with a better monster concept :D)
