Did you work in a team?
I worked on this project alone, from the graphics to the coding in Godot. It was extremely fun and I had an amazing time during the 2 weeks it took to make it, I couldn't wait to finish my daily job to start coding for my game :D
Was the resolution a challenge?
Creating the sprites and graphic was the major challenge.. especially because it was the first time I did it, ever!
I think Godot offered a good beginner experience and helped smoothing out the difficult parts like physics and building the executables!
What did you learn?
I basically learned everything! As I said it was my very first time ever making a game, so everything was new :)

Grats on finishing your first game, I'm right there with you ;)
I liked the visual style, there was some difficulty getting to the second platforms on occasion, as if they where just out of reach, but well done.
Visual style is something! Good game, although a little hard.
Hey this is a really fun game. I honestly have a hard time believing that this is your first game. Well done! I like the art style, it works well with the restrictions. The parallax background is a nice touch too. I liked the choice of music a lot too, even if it wasn't made by you. I would make it more clear in game that the jump height changes based on how long you hold the button. "Press space to jump" doesn't really communicate that well. The jump sound effect also get a bit grating on the ears after a while, but it isn't too bad. Great job and keep up the good work!
thank you so much for the feedback :)
Yes.. the jumping is really something I should have spent more time to polish, but on the last day I was still struggling to get the percentages on the procedural generation to work well. So in the end didn't have enough time/strength for the polishing phase :)
I'm looking forward to the next interesting game jam 🙂
hey, I’m glad you reuploaded and I got to play it, it was fun! Congrats on your first game, Godot is awesome and very very begginer friendly 😀
A few comments:
thank you very much :)
Yes the jumping mechanic is the one that I wasn't totally happy with in the end.. and it's a shame because in an endless runners in one of the core mechanics. I'll follow your advice and also try to improve my pixel art skills at the same time, o really didn't know exactly what was I doing when drawing the animations, as you pointed out it's not professional :D
Linux and Windows packages have been updated to contain the .pck file, beginners mistake, I should have checked that they worked before submitting to the jam
Same error as the previous comment! You need to upload the .pck as well. You can probably ask the organiser if you can resubmit a full version though.
oh.. that's a shame.. I didn't know I had to upload that file as well for Linux/Windows. Beginner mistake I guess.. I'll try contacting the organizers and see..
Thanks for the feedback 😊
I re uploaded the packages for Linux/Windows and notified the organisers. We'll see if my submission is still valid for the jam, otherwise I'm happy anyways to have completed my project.
Thanks for notifying me that it didn't run, I should have checked! Beginners mistake :)
Oh no!
Error: Couldn't load project data at path ".". Is the .pck file missing?
If you've renamed the executable, the associated .pck file should also be renamed to match the executable's name (without the extension).
I tried renaming the pck file but I couldn't figure out how to recompress to exe
thanks for the feedback. I didn't know I had to upload that pck file as well for Linux and Windows.. I'll see if the organizers allow me to resubmit.. I should have checked after uploading.
