Cool concept and art. Nice game executed quite well. was quit confused what to do at first

Developer

Glad to hear you liked it! What exactly confused you? Were the instructions not clear or was it the visual design that made it difficult to get a grasp?

Submitted

I think maybe the visuals. Like it looked great just was kinda hard to grasp the different tiles. got it after a while but probably me being dumb

Developer

Ah, gotcha! For sure the visual feedback was  bit rough, I will agree with that. Thanks for letting us know and we can take this into future development concerns!

Very enjoyable experience. Also has a lot of room to improve upon the initial idea.

Really well done! Nice graphics and music. Only thing I didn't like as much was that it sometimes forces you to build a certain building somewhere. It would be fun if there were more combination possible. Maybe even add certain mechanics to certain  combinations. Like combine the shield building will create a stronger one that blocks corruption from spawning in a bigger radius around it. Anyways, Good work!

Developer

Those are all great ideas! Some of which we did think to add, unfortunately due to the time constraints and the way the system is currently implemented it just wasn't feasible to go past this scope for the jam

Art and sound were great! I like the replay ability of the game. I wish you could further combine the towers once you get to the max size. I also found it a little annoying sometimes I would need to place a building on a certain tile and if it was right next to a mountain or river I would have no choice but to combine them. (this is just my gripe). Overall I think you did an amazing job and you could easily turn this into a mobile game or a steam release with more time put into it.

Developer(+1)

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the replayability as that is exactly the style of game we were going for! We thought about allowing the player to not combine tiles, but we liked the idea of each decision having  a cost associated with it when you are forced to upgrade. We did a lot f play testing with a paper prototype and this is what we came to. We have also had some talks about possibly further developing the game for a mobile and steam release, we will have to see what our futures hold!

Great work with the art and sound design. The ideia is very simple and fun, this mechanic can surely be expanded upon. Good job!

Submitted(+1)

Well executed! Nice match of sounds and tile designs. The super fast gameplay makes it easy replay over and over. Feels like it could be a super addicting mobile game.

I love the upgrading mechanic and especially Doom mode

Developer

DOOM MODE!!!! It started as a joke, but turned into a reality haha!

This game caught me off guard in an awesome way! The art, sounds, ui, and the overall atmosphere was amazing! Its very hard for me to think of some critiques in this, but maybe add a little bit of lore with the kingdom or a little something to encourage more big buildings. Besides that this might be one of my favorite jam entries and I felt so relaxed playing this! Btw my score was 261

Developer

Thank you so much! Super happy to hear you liked the game so much! We would have loved to add story and further upgrades but sadly due to the team size of 2 (1 programmer & 1 artist) we were only able to implement what you see in the jam. We are in the talks of possibly further developing this game for a full release so I'm glad to hear the reception is so good!

Absolutely adored the art in this, so cute and quaint and yet packed with so much detail!

I like the simple nature of just combining things to maximize your score, if this was a Civilization style game or Polytopia on mobile, I would eat this up in a heartbeat.

The music was so peaceful and soothing.

All around an amazing game, well done friend! :D

Developer

Wow! Thank you so much! Our artist worked extremely hard to make each tile unique and as detailed as possible! Without him I don't think this game would be nearly as good!

Beautiful relaxing game! Great Work!

This was looing amazing! had fun playing it. A very very good entry!

Fantastic looking game with great atmosphere with the music, artwork and relaxing gameplay. I also really liked your sound effects, they felt great and gave more weight to the ‚merges‘!

The different merge ‚chains‘ felt like they could use more stages, but with the limited time it‘s already super impressive what you achieved!

Great work, congrats!

Developer(+1)

Further/Different merges were definitely a thing we wanted to add but time got the best of us and we had to cut the scope down somewhere to meet the deadline. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it regardless of the minimal upgrades!

Really love the artstyle, the music and just the whole vibe of the game~ Blown away by how this is finished in a week! Good job!

Submitted(+2)

Loved the game! I would say it has a very pleasant atmosphere (art and music are really cool) and also simple, but catchy gameplay.

Great game with beautiful artwork and soothing background music. I recommend this game (press pause and enable doom mode).

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! My brother and I played your game as well and loved every second of it! (except for level 13, that was a rough one lol)

Ah yeah the moving saw blades, I'll be nerfing those after this jam haha

This game looks soooo good! Amazing artwork + exra point for the Doom mode.

The rules are a bit tricky to understand, but i got it after some time.
Great work!

Developer

Our artist worked very hard to bring these graphics to a reality. I am very proud of the work he was able to put out in such a short time!

I went and played your game as well and surprisingly loved it! Not my usual type of game, but just trying to stay afloat was so much fun!

I actually broke the game by I think stackoverflowing cause I got to the point everything was max upgraded and nothing could take me out, it eventually crashed the webpage on my end lol

Submitted(+1)

Just great good work :D

Loved It! Addicting and quick to play! PR is 348, looking to get to 400 some day! Doom Mode is a great little Easter Egg lol

Submitted(+2)

I really love the game design and the premise of the game! It is fun rushing the merges so that the corruption will not keep up. The music is also good and it fits the theme of the game. This feels like the 2048 game but with buildings and corruption ongoing. Probably a really great innovation if that is the goal. Speaking of the goal, I'm not sure what the main goal is like do I have to turn everything to palace or get rid of corruption or something. But still, I really enjoyed it, would love it to expand further! And I got at least 250 points lel.

Developer(+2)

Thank you so much for the positive review! We are happy to hear you enjoyed the game! 2048 was the base inspiration for this game so I'm glad it showed through allowing our game to get the "familiar" yet different reaction out of the player.

The goal of this game is simply to compete with yourself and get the highest possible score you can!
