Awesome game! Very good. Had a ton of fun playing it!

Just two quick things: I can hold S to keep slamming/ducking all the time, and the hold spacebar to jump; when I release spacebar, I go almost instantly to the ground. I don't know it it was on purpose, but maybe that breaks the game? :P

Developer

Sounds like a bug!  I finished the code for the slam move about an hour before the deadline.  Without that move there were a lot of places where the game was impossible because of walls too close together, or cheese you could never get.

Swiss! Good job!

My kids loved this one; eventually they got to the point where they just tried to see how long they could play without getting any cheese at all.

Great work on the graphics; really nailed the pixel-art vibe!

Simple and straightforward game.

PS: Collision/animation seems off when crouching and releasing the button early

Developer

Definitely.  The collision detection is very rudimentary.  I didn't have time to test everything.

Nice simple game.

I like the BGM and the pixel art.

My score was 23

I think my high score is 8, so I admire your dedication.

Hi! Just played the music and showed the nice scrolling background for me. No title or character interaction. Win7, 64.

Developer

Sorry for the troubles.  I don't know what might cause that.  Pressing Enter should start the game.

If you start LÖVE in a directory other than the main game directory, it'll show a generic LÖVE title screen; you weren't seeing that, were you?

Doesn't work for me.

I downloaded the source and called `lua main.lua`

Developer

You need LÖVE ; the game won't work with vanilla Lua.  LÖVE is the game engine / runtime it runs on.  It's a small download from https://love2d.org/ or probably installable via your distro if you're on Linux.
