Fun game was a but confusing at first, took me a bit to understand the selecting the kaiju, couldn't read fast enough xD...

Big fan of deck building card games so this one was up my alley. Loved the visuals and audio. Well done! Cat Kaiju is best Kaiju!

Host(+1)

Well designed game, the different kaiju designs were great. I love the character designs across the game.

Loved the pixel graphics and music. I liked the concept of having a deck to determine your attacker but I would have liked to have chosen the mob from a hand drawn. I also liked all the upgrades you can get. Well done!

Thanks, I will let our artist and musician know!

I thought about more player options with the card draws, but I was originally worried about slowing the pace of the game too much. I only had the time to try it one way though before the jam ended. I will definitely figure out what is better post-jam!

That was a nice twist on the reverse tower defense genre~
I also like the visual effects when browsing your cards between levels

I love the mechanic of selecting multiple kaiju at once by having them overlap one another! Apart from that, I felt the card mechanic worked well and generally found the poof away enemies card to be a must during the final level. Solid work!

I'm glad to know you made it to the end! Did you defeat Mechano-Cat?

I'd like to re-work the shops in-between to allow for getting past cards too.

Submitted(+1)

Yep, though defeating the cat was pretty down to the wire! Took me about 3 tries to finally get past it.

I didn't have time to program anything for it, so it's actually two laser birds on top of a building, with a different sprite on top :)

Surprisingly very addicting once you get the hang of it. Though the later levels become a bit of a drag due to essentially becoming a bullet hell that kills all ground troops the moment they step it.

Oh yeah, shower me with coins!

What I liked: the giant catzilla, and the magnifying active card.

Really unique idea for a game!  The art and music are really great!  Nice job.
