hard bit to control but its a small fun race game. even so i in the start did some ad finish the game in 4.5 sec because i did a revers and hard to know to collide with the objects to get higher score.

but over all, the look reminds me of 3D arcade still and the music are fiting and well did. well done!

Thank you for playing! The controls of the car is, uhh, a feature haha

Great work - really enjoyed it! The width of the track made it difficult to begin with, but after realizing that I was meant to collect the objects - it became alot easier! :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Yep, should've added a note about the objective of the game haha

Fun racer for sure.  I share some similar concerns as others with the controls, but realize that any kind of racer without analog controls is going to be difficult.  It took me a little while to realize that I was supposed to be running over the various generated stuff on the track.  Neat scoring system.  I enjoyed this!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

A solid and competent racer! Was fun. I liked the post process pixelation, that was a nice touch. Also, hamburgers get an automatic +1 from me. Nice job!

Fun game. Handling of the car was a bit janky but that might have been me. Great work!

Developer

Thanks! I do agree, the car was a bit janky. but thats a bug feature!

Nice. The shader fits the game. However, the turns are impossible to master. =) That’s really cool to see procedural content in the game - would be nice to see some levels with a bit different track shape (like, turning right, not left, or having a few extra turns). Also, the scoring-obstacles sometimes appear runtime - that feels strange. Well done and thanks for the game. =)

Developer

Thank you for playing! The track is indeed a bit too narrow, the destructibles do spawn only when you have crossed the start, so that as time goes on you can get more points, but also because the score is points divided by time you need to find a good balance. I will definitely continue exploring procedural generation, maybe one day I'll make a more complex racing game about it!

ahahhahaha I won the game in like 3 secs just by mistake ahahah, wanted to give the whole road a go though and I liked, managed to go to the end or star (depends on how you look at it), music was too loud for me that's the only 'but' I have, nice one yeps yeps!!!

Developer

Thank you! A volume slider is definitely something I should have thought of!

I got stuck quite often and wasn't sure what I could (and couldn't) run into but it was a fun racing game with an unusual art style and definitely played to the theme.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! As an afterthought, I should've made some kind of a tutorial too haha

Fast and fun and visually interesting. well done!  love how there is a lot of loot on the road, as others said was a bit narrow and I got stuck pretty often.

Developer

Thank you for playing, appreciate the feedback!

that was pretty fun, I had a lot of trouble with the corners but if you slow down a bit it works. If you keep pushing just fyi you can get a somewhat high score by going forward collecting 1 or 2 items and going in reverse where they spawn behind you and you can collect more and cross the finish in like 15 seconds.

Developer

Thanks! I did have a bit of a fight with my own algorithm trying to get the corners not to be too sharp, not sure who won in the end. Also yep the reversing thing is a bit of a bug easter egg!

The audio and visuals look and sound great! It was fun to run over the props on the road. Sometimes the field elements will clip into the race track, but I don't know if that's intentional. The race track is pretty narrow, it might make it more fun to drive if the track is somewhat wider; it's especially hard to turn at really sharp corners with a keyboard.

Developer

Thanks! I do agree, should've made the track a bit wider, spent too much time on getting the generation parameters right haha
