wanted to surface, hovered at 336m

Developer

yeah, we didn't implement surfacing...

Great enviroment desing, also liked the cockpit aestethics. Flying too high to the surface seem to just freeze the controls and sub stops moving. Had to restart to continue. Was curious if I can surface =)

Developer

we were avoiding anything to do with the surface! Hadn't even tried it while testing the app. I guess we need a better way of enforcing that.

I've found only 2 chest treasure, is there is more? The sounds - it felt like i'm underwater. Maybe a good option can be a freelook camera (like in other games, alt - freelook, but it's just suggestion) You can add some threats in future. Where is the sponge and his pineapple? =)

Developer(+1)

there's always 1 treasure chest. When you collect one a new on spawns. Someone else suggested freelook so it sounds like a good idea. I think Bob & co. might be sleeping in the coral, so you can't see them

Great! I liked a lot the sounds and the plants/animals around!

Thanks man, I really appreciate you playing! It was a rocky road but if 1 thing came out really well it was our sounds.

Developer

💙 again, lots of stuff that can be improved with the sounds, but thank you both.

Good job. I wish I could see more of the game but the controls are a bit hard for me. Got myself flying into space while watching the seabed in a couple of minutes. Maybe you should freeze the rotations on X and Z axes and add a mouse look in static mode so that you can have some more visibility. Sounds are superb but it feels like most of the time there is no sound at all and it sort of detaches you from the experience. If you enable the shadow casts on the terrain and add volumetric lighting with some bubbles occasionally coming up to the surface as well as water surface animation I bet the game would look awesome.

Thanks for the feedback about the sound! It was meant to be lot more full as a soundscape  - every bit of fauna and flora making sounds, the sub creaking under pressure, a more fleshed out engine sound etc. but we had originally been planning to do a webgl build so I had to cut down on the number of voices at the last minute since it was causing a lot of lag. Although that didn't end up working out, annoyingly, so I'm hoping to put a bit more back in. There was a lot we would love to add to this game - hopefully we'll be able to develop it further though.

Looking forward to it

Hey Rjomba, I've just added a new version (1.1) to the downloads that has a lot more integrated and detailed sound, in case you're interested!

Developer

Thanks for the suggestions, I think a mouse look would be a good idea.

This game reminded me of subnautica. It was really fun! I liked the underwater plants, they looked great :) Great job!

Thanks man! Something came up with one of our team members and we lost a programmer roughly half way in so we cut a lot of features. Thanks for playing
