I really enjoyed this game. I found the worldbuilding and characterisation subtle and well integrated - really gave a sense of place without any infodumping.
I loved how many options there were for some of the repeated actions - such variety and attention to detail.
Both the journey and the destination were delightful.
For some reason this didn't work in Firefox. Got to play in Safari, though. I think you did a really good job adding compelling interactivity, especially with the digging. Everything felt interesting, if not important (which matched the laid-back tone). I also like how you paid off every action at the end.
I think you've just described my own meandering, creative days. :) So many smart things about this game: clear goal, clear sidetracks, good writing, that look back at the end to take it all in. Well done.
I ended up with 14 containers of jello and I played with Ralf 32 times. 10/10, would dig again.
This had such a nice vibe - and I like the slow but exponential addition of options throughout the game and the changing landscapes. Some really nice narrative moments.
does what it says on the tin!
I have to admit that knowing what the game was about kind of took away some of the surprise of going down deep rabbit holes of repeat-actions. I did dig often and look at all the stuff I found, though. I felt a want to see what I'd dug up, to see something to show for all the times I'd pressed dig, but when I couldn't find anything in the moment, it felt like the digging was for nothing.
After I felt that (it was early on before Jello I think,) I ended up trying each of the repeat actions once or twice, but not really dwelling on them since it didn't feel like they mattered, and I'd (Walk) whenever I saw it pop up.
I enjoyed the ending stats that the game gave me, and it made me feel like my actions had more meaning than I'd thought earlier in the game.
Very relaxing. You play with a dog. That's good story right there.
A very chill and pleasant game. It really does evoke that feeling of wandering around a game world and poking at all the random side things that have nothing to do with the main plot. There are definitely some polish things I would like to see, like when you show someone a rock it should be one of the rocks you dug up, but overall I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this! I felt like there was a lot of joy the whole way through. The writing was joyful, the people were passionate and other people didn't squash their passions and it was all such a friendly loving world where people are free to love the very specific things they love, and that made me happy.
